Family Halls

Upon achieving the social rank of Thane, one may choose to build a family Hall on their new lands. Family Halls serve no functional purpose, and are simply a feature which adds to the roleplaying and social elements of the clan.

- Any Thane may choose to establish a family hall within the Fremennik territory of their residence.

- During creation, Halls must adopt a name that is suitable for the culture, either Germanic or Fremennik in style. Exceptions may be made depending on character background.

- Halls must have at least two founding members before creation.

- When establishing a Hall, the founders of that hall must swear an oath of fealty to the Jarl presiding over that land.

On Raids and Warbands

The Germanic tribes were notorious for and well-versed in the art of raiding coastal villages. The Fremennik, being extensively similar to their Germanic counterparts would no doubt, though in different circumstances, consist of similar expeditions in their history and today. In the Fremennik, raids are mainly seen as a ritual that is practiced to honor ancestors and bring pride to our people.

Raids can be organized by any free man. The Thing is often where one would propose organizing a raid, as such a public forum is an opportune time for bringing it to public attention. Raids do not require special permission, but if you act rogue and in hindrance to diplomatic relations, you will face the consequences of that.

Warbands are considered separate from the Fremennik militia, though in times of conflict they can be called upon to defend the homeland. A war band is an offensive and sometimes counter-offensive group of individuals who leave their homeland in order to raid and do battle among other clans, PKers, and monsters; bringing renown to their achievements and to the Fremennik people. When a war band is called upon by foreign nations for aid, the Jarl presiding over that war band decides if that aid is given or not.

A war band can consist of a minimum of five and a maximum of twenty combatants.

Requirements:
- You must have the minimum military rank of Thegn to create a war band.
- You must have sworn an oath under a Jarl and his Hold.

What are their main combat stats? (ex: Kalf - 70 ranged, 75 constitution, 90 combat) ~~~
