My head cold is clearing but The Ole Man has got it now - far worse, of course, it's really more Man 'Flu.

He's been sent home for the 3 week lockdown we have here (to be reviewed at the end of that time) so I'll entertain myself by nagging him to get various odd jobs done.

Still shortages and total absence of basic food and supplies in the supermarkets despite rationing. I'm very glad I've always had the siege mentality and had a good store cupboard when this thing all started .... I feel very sorry for the people who shop week-by-week and are having a nightmare trying to locate something edible, or a bar of soap. We're making sure the old bloke next door has got what he needs via notes and little parcels over the garden fence. Potatoes and fresh veg are becoming an issue.

We live out in the country so it's always quiet here anyway but a drive into town (trying our luck) for shopping was seriously weird .... empty streets, all the shops closed and Police randomly stopping cars to check who you are and why you are not at home.

How's everyone else? And does the Citadel Party Room have a freezer that could be raided?

Sorry to hear about the old man. Most likely a case of man flu.

I'm still working from home, though I'm about to enjoy a fortnight's holiday due to the Easter holidays. Is it even a holiday this year? Probably not. I live in Cornwall, so the good news is: no tourists! Bad news is, I can't go and enjoy the empty beaches. I've not had a chance to view the supermarkets for a few days, but we still have some stock in the cupboard and a bunch of tins. Bog roll holding up fine.

It's good of you to look after the neighbour. Stay safe!

Edit: Citadel's cupboards are empty. I blame trolls.

It is with no small sense of pride that I say I've been incarcerated 24/7 with The Ole Man for one week and have thus far managed not to throttle him. Indeed, I have managed to relieve him of a substantial amount of coin during a card playing intermission.

My supply of Gin is holding up nicely so the alarm engendered by receipt of a letter from NHS England instructing me formally to stay indoors for 12 weeks due to my categorisation as officially 'a vulnerable person' was somewhat ameliorated.

Our neighbour swapped us a swede for a packet of Cornflakes so a roast Sunday dinner is afoot. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

This thread bump is delivered courtesy of the very strong wind that has blown down part of our back fence.
