Office Descriptions

Imperator

The ultimate source of authority with Rome. Has the final say over all matters, but may defer to delegate power if chosen.

Prefect

TRE's successor. Holds less power, but can oversee and moderate TRE officials - in addition to administrating day to day activities, representing Rome externally, advising the Senate, and acting as a general enforcer.

Vicarius

Rome's off-hours administration. The Vicarius is in charge of managing and organizing senators and activities in timezones outside the expected EST and GMT populations.

Princeps Senatus

Leader of TRE's Senate and responsible for organizing Senate activities, overseeing Senate organization, as well as appointing people to the Senate.

Praetor

Rome's Human Resources department. Settles member disputes, and may issue reasonable punishment. Also manages Discord and it's security, as well as bringing people onto it.

Quaestor

Office responsible for managing the clan funds, their growth, and keeping members involved.

Proconsul

The Oldschool Runescape leaders of Rome. This office oversees and manages the OSRS branch of the clan.

Aedile

Backbone of Rome. Aediles are the event leaders, responsible for scheduling events and activities on a consistent, day-to-day basis. Requires a creative and outgoing personality.

Tribune

Tribunes have the responsibility of organizing growth. Also responsible for getting new members acquainted and accustomed to the ways of Rome.

Magister Bestias

The PVM professionals. Magisters are in charge of teaching and leading all PVM related content. They host events and answer any questions in game and on discord.

Scribae

The scribes of Rome. They produce the Acta Diurna monthly.

Peregrini
(One Chevron): The basic member, located at the bottom of Roman society with a new journey ahead.

Plebeian
(Two Chevron): A young member making a name for themself in Rome, now actively woven into the social fabric.

Citizen
(Three Chevron): An experienced Roman who has been reliable, observed to have taken initiative, and has been consistently active during their tenure in TRE. This is the middle class of Rome, opening new doors for these members.

Equite
(Lieutenant): An older, respected member of TRE who has shown promise, met all previous qualities, and has taken on a bigger role within TRE. The distinction between Equite and Citizen can often be time - and of course a greater wealth of denarius.

Patrician
(Captain): A veteran and high class member of Rome, often having been a member for multiple years or has grown wealthy with denarius due to tremendous involvement - which may consist of exceptional leadership, prior experience in an Office, great attendance, etc.

Nobilis
(General): Often former Emperors and leaders who have settled into support roles, these members act as testament to TRE's longevity and a connection to it's past. This is the second highest class within TRE, and remains highly respected.

Imperial Family
(Administrator): The ruling class of TRE, also comprised of highly involved former Emperors, stand out Senators, and Patricians who have purchased enough influence to rise to the top of Rome.

Our purpose for alliances is to build relationships outside of Rome. We aim to hold events and activities together, and find unique and attractive ways of interacting as clans. Long gone are the days of needing allies to survive wars and settle scores. Now our intent has become far more peace-oriented. With that said, we only accept well established clans. To ally with Rome you must be six months old and contain one-hundred members minimum.

Policy toward Merging

TRE is open to those clans who have an interest in a merge. Having said that, Rome will not merge into another clan. TRE is willing to absorb clans into itself, and offer appropriate and corresponding ranks and offices to the clans leadership.

The Member's Guide to TRE

Greetings to all in Rome! From the newest peregrini to the highest patrician, this thread should provide all the need-to-know information to make your experience all the more fulfilling.

Here we will cover the TRE ranking system, how to earn Denarii, how to run for future elections, and what rank means for you.

All members will be required to acknowledge this guide in order to be eligible for promotion, and upon your acknowledgement you will receive a sizeable reward of 5 Denarii.

What are
denarii
?

Denarius, as it is historically known, existed as Roman currency. In TRE denarius acts as our "activity points" which are earned in a multitude of ways. Denarii, or activity points, are earned by each member and are added up in order to achieve promotions - or in the future as a way to purchase entry into clan elections.

How do I earn denarii?

There are many ways to earn them! Different activities offer different amounts.
