What happens as you earn denarii?

Well you progress further in Rome, of course! Each rank requires a higher amount of denarii to earn the promotion, and that amount will be subtracted each time.

Below will be listed the requirements for each member to be promoted to the next class.

Peregrini (recruits)
15 denarii
Acknowledgment of this guide

Plebeian (corporals)
30 denarii

Citizens (Sergeants)
45 denarii

¤
Equites (Lieutenant)
75 denarii

¤
Patricians (Captain)
100 denarii

Imperial Patricians (General)
300 denarii

¤
Imperial Family (Admin)
70 denarii every two months

What if I choose to run for election once I become a Citizen?

If you choose to run for election it will simply cost you 5 denarii. You then have the option to run for the following offices: Aedile, Quaestor, Praetor, Proconsul, Tribune, Magister Bestias

Should you be elected, you will earn 5 denarii weekly for your new position. The Roman Empire

Event Rewards and your Rank in Rome

A major element when it comes to events in TRE are the rewards. All event prizes are taken straight from the bank of TRE which is 100% funded by donations of members.

Additionally, during holidays such as Christmas or milestones such as TRE's birthday, all active members will receive a reward directly from TRE as a gift.

Anyone can host an event, no pre-approval is needed, but you can request your event be posted in the #events-announcements channel by tagging/messaging a Senator. For an event to be official, at least 4 members must be present, and the event must be open to anyone who wishes to join. For events requiring clan funds, contact the resident Quaestor.

All rewards come directly from TRE's bank, which is located on the "TRE Central" account. The first week of every month is to be known as Donation Week, where members will be heavily encouraged to donate an amount of their choosing to TRE. These donations become TRE revenue, and get spent on each of you each week!

Additionally, donations will result in denarius relative to the amount you donate.

Please note, one may only receive a maximum of 10 Denarii per week from donations. Any additional money donated over a week's span will not reward additional denarii.

500k- earn 1 Denarii
1 million+ earns 2 Denarii
5 million+ earns 3 Denarii
10 million+ earns 4 Denarii
15 million+ earns 5 Denarii
20 million+ earns 7 Denarii
25 million+ earns 9 Denarii

So why does TRE utilize this system? Surely you can just promote people on the eye test?

Correct, we could simply promote people on whim - but what fun is that? TRE is a community clan with Rome as its model. Our goal is to make TRE a game of its own, with a unique way to experience a clan and with an infrastructure that maintains both cost and reward.

We want our members to immerse themselves in our Roman world and help create an atmosphere that is truly unique and offers something fun. The Roman Empire

Guidelines Concerning Clan Chat:

Clanchat is a place where everyone should feel welcome, respect each other

Discussions and disagreements should be kept to the content of the topic, not attacking each other

We generally do not censor chat, however we may use the mute function in the event of:
hacked accounts, antagonistic, racist, or derogatory comments aimed at another member or guest, constant Spam

The clan chat mute function is used at the discretion of any senate member who feels the need to defuse a situation

The clan chat mute function may also be used as punishment for grievances that occur outside of the clan chat

If there are any issues, message a ranking admin+ about the issue. This is better than starting a fight in the middle of the clan chat

Guests are welcome but will be removed if they create problems

Guidelines Concerning Discord:

Keep content in its intended channel, NSFW content is limited to the NSFW channel

All rules concerning clan chat mutes are applied in parallel to a discord text mute

Guidelines Concerning Ingame Activities/Events

Intentionally pking another member is strictly prohibited, either in the wildy or via PVM mechanics

Do not troll another member’s event. If you attend an event, whoever organized it is in charge. If you don’t like it, don’t go to the event The Roman Empire

Guidelines Concerning Meetings:

8:30 EST (00:30 Game Time) Every Tuesday at the Clan Citadel Keep

The Emperor or proxy will go over all issues or topics from the past or upcoming weeks

If you would like to add anything, simply type “1” in public chat and the Emperor or proxy will acknowledge you to speak as soon as the current announcement is concluded

While the Emperor or proxy is addressing the clan, refrain from speaking other than “1” to be called on, as the content is conducted in public chat, so it should stay clear

Guidelines Concerning Ranks:

All ranks over admin will have access to senate discussions

All major decisions and changes must be approved by the Emperor

A major decision is one that deals with more than one position. Scheduling a pvm event like vorago for example does not require approval

Each branch of the senate and imperium can be formed/expanded/collapsed as the clan sees fit

Every position is responsible both for it’s given roles, as well as general leadership of the clan

General Guidelines:

Donations awarding Denarii can be made to any Senator

Jagex’s rules are our rules. Breaking any of them may lead to removal from the clan The Roman Empire

The Peregrini Trial

Also known as the "New Member's Trial", requires that all incoming Peregrini attend their first event prior to becoming promotion eligible.

All members are required to acknowledge this guide prior to receiving their first promotion. We also encourage you to continue coming back to check for updates and keep track of your denarius on the linked google doc.

Additionally, everyone is welcome to create their own threads on this clan page. Want to start a Pvm group? Start a thread and get people to join in! Looking to establish your own group within TRE? Build you a thread and get it going.

Notable Features

Acta Diurna
TRE produces a monthly newspaper known as the Acta Diurna which is organized by our Scribaes (administrative office) and community contributors. January-July 2019 has produced 8 volumes all archived on Discord.

Weekly Meetings
TRE is a large community maintaining the small community atmosphere by hosting weekly meeting on Tuesday nights at 8:30PM EST. While things are coordinated via Discord, it is the ruling philosophy of TRE to retain a strong ingame community culture where people gather regularly.

Banking
TRE utilizes a central bank stored on a TRE-owned account. Revenue for funds are produced via donations from the community along with specified events. All revenue is used to distribute raffle prizes, event rewards, etc. Since 2016 TRE has produced and spent billions.

Events
Basic, yet essential, is the presence of frequent events. TRE has administrative offices solely tasked with event coordination and maintaining them on a weekly basis.
