I think the beacon idea is a bad one, and I have grown wary as I witness person after person trying to propose ally options into land wars. Allies in land wars will always be about who has the biggest friends regardless of effort put into one's own clan. I can see the potential benefit, 5 people from such and such clan going to even out a war, but that's probably not what's going to happen.

Two clans are going to be evenly matched and one will decide to call on their friends, making the other call on their friends. Both will cry foul. Think about the TAK vs KW war. If KW had been allowed to bring 5 allies, do you think they would have lost? No disrespect to KW, but they pulled 2. Do you think that TAK would've been cool with losing a land war to a clan who pulled 2? There are tons of ways in which this could be abused, and I think it would be a tragedy if it was passed.
