Xul wasted no time, and walked past Ailred into the council room. The Elders’ attention quickly turned to the new man in the room. “
Who here dares to override my command to the Crystal Fleet!
” Xul spat out to the Council. An elf in the room responded arrogantly “
We have to power to do so.
” Xul continued, “
The Kingdoms around us are being overrun by evil, I ask for aid in the south to solve it and you have the arrogance to send the whole fleet eastwards! Reports from the few we sent back says that the mission down there was a success, but at a cost. Don’t you see? Lives could have been saved!
” Xul’s eyes met with the Elders, including the Enerdhil and the Grand Elder.
“
Xul, we can assure you that this decision was based on a majority agreement within the council.
” The Enerdhil Elder spoke up. “
We sent what we could to Feldip Hills, and pray for what was lost. We understand your frustration.
” Xul was disappointed. “
If you would join or excuse us, we have important matters to discuss. War is coming.
” The Enerdhil continued.
Xul paid respect to the Elders, turned his back, and left the hall. He could spot Ailred’s satisfied smile in the corner of his eye. There was a piece of the puzzle that was missing…
Ok good luck
