Eat Hearty; We Dine In Infernus!

The battle that night took a toll on our forces. Out of our side, thirty-five heroically gave their lives and went down holding out East Ardougne. I am not very sure if they were indeed turned into undead as well; but in the end, the problem with the undead was resolved, well, for now.

Mimring, the Khan of Goshima, mentioned of a raid in Feldip Hills which he thought to be where the source of all undead fiasco is from. I am sure the armies of their respective kingdoms/factions started mobilizing their armies there; we will do so too.

Before noon, a small army composed of platoons of our Order's knights, archers, mages, and clerics marched towards Feldip. As we arrived, other armies assembled nearby, ready to take on the threat.

We all have to eat hearty this time. The final battle is where we dine. We will all dine in Infernus... for the sake of our precious world.

THE AEGIS ENDURES!

Dayan stood against the railing on the balcony looking over the damaged the city of Menaphos and Sophanem. However, the zombie horde that caused devastation in the two cities was minimal compared to other regions of the empire. Areas such as Nardah, Pollniaveanch and Bandit Camp were severely attacked. News began flooding in from all corners of Gielinor with both good and bad news. It has also come to the attention to the Pharaoh that one of the dragons was sacrificed to summon the power of Korangar… It hurt Dayan deeply that such a majestic beast had to go, but it was for the best.

He knew well that its spirit was now completely free and may even return as a Arhat. News also broke that one of the ships that was launched to the charted isles that contained some of the plague victims were brutally killed by a zombie child that was on deck. Where that ship is now is unknown, but only for a while. All on deck were killed even the undead children, we assume that the victims fought back but died to their wounds. They were all given their last rights and the ship was burned so their spirits may be free.

The Arc has had no reports of undead risings which was odd… the only assumption is the amount of positive energy not allowing the dead to rise. But returning to the Capital and its neighboring city of Sophanem, it is seeing the most strict and militarized curfew in its history. No one is allowed out and full screening is needed to enter for refuge.

“This will take ages to repair, and more soldiers die every night…” Dayan entered his room and looked towards the door. At that moment, Mimring blasted in and took Dayans flying carpet and rode right out… “What in the…” Dayan rushed to the door and looked out, seeing Mimring disappearing into the skies. He grinned and thought to himself, he could have just asked.

Rise A Knight of the Aegis

This story took place way before the undead attacks in Ardougne began.

"Brother Rowanius... I... I want to join your fight. I want to give myself peace from what transpired just recently."

"And what would that be, fellow?"

The man began to break down in tears. "My dear wife and my children! The undead took care of them. I was too late to see them when I returned from the Fishing Platform. They were... coldly dead! THE UNDEAD WILL PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!"

Brother Rowan consoled the battered man. "My condolences, fellow. I pray that they may find the peace in the afterlife. If I may ask you..."

"These undead WILL DIE BY MY HAND! I AM SURE OF IT!"

"Fellow, snap out of it! You might even lose sight of what is really important if you think too much of that. Now, I want you to kneel!"

"Kneel?"

"Yes, kneel ." The battered man started to kneel down in front of Brother Rowan. "May Saradomin heal you of your inner afflictions as you turn yourself into a new man. By the time you rise, you are now one among the holy ranks of Saradomin's army. You are no longer a mere man; you stand before Saradomin today as a knight. A Knight of Saradomin, a Knight of the Holy Order of Fellow-Soldiers of the Aegis of Saradomin! Now, good brother, rise a Knight!

The battered man stood up, then revealed himself to be Nathan. "Sir Nathan Badriguel, at Saradomin's service. I shall fight in His name!"

Later that day, both Rowan and Nathan sparred with swords. The former saw the latter as a prettty good swordsman, ready to repress the undead.

A bird came flying towards Rowan, currently stationed in Yanille. It held a letter with an inscription, clearly from the Grand Magistrix herself in Karamja.

You have my condolences, Brother, but I cannot abandon my duties in Karamja. Pirates have been raiding my Karambwuan shipments, and I have to divert resources in the creation of new ships and enforcement of a stronger garrison.

Perhaps those in Al Kharid might be of assistance. I've heard their excavation team has unearthed an interesting artifact somewhere in the various ruins of the Kharidian Desert.

-Grand Magistrix Morgiana Legateaux

"Looks like the enchantress will not be joining the fight." muttered Rowan to himself.

A small red impling appears to each kingdom leader with a small package. After a short
“Here ya go guv,”
It teleports away in a puff of smoke.

To arms, my brothers and sisters! Now is the time to fight for everything we hold dear. If we are to repel and destroy these undead invaders in our kingdoms, we must band together now or perish!

While I know that some of the kingdoms in our land have qualms amongst themselves, now is the time to put those aside and fight for a common goal.

We have begun to gather at the origin of the ritual and have set up a base camp to get everyone prepared for the ensuing fight. The location in the Feldip Hills is marked with the included map. Come prepared to give your all.

May Zaros guide us into battle,

Artemis Bloodsbane, Demonlord of the Morytanian Lands

Note: The map will be posted in the World Event chat of the W103 Discord.

" Admiral Snow,

Prifddinas is in ruins. Brave elves, fremennik and others alike fought hard so that our great capital survived, but at a great cost. Many are dead and wounded. With my mighty power we were able to defeat zombies. The attacking armada were infused by a terrible ritual. Words has it that Wushanko Empire forged this evil, but to me it does not seem logical. I will investigating this further, but for now we are focused on rebuilding the home of the elves. Let us not hope that the ritual falls into the right hands.. I am afraid that without someone with my magic capabilities, the infused zombies can damage large cities and even Kingdoms.

News arrived from the East, saying that the source of the zombie outbreak has been located. A small task-force has been gathered and will leave Isafdar within the next few days. When you receive this, they will be on their way - to a location in the south - Feldip Hills. Our task force is small. All men, women and youth alike are working hard to save the ones that can be saved, and fixing our wonderful city. I therefore hope that you can bring what armies you can gather, gnomes, apes and others to aid the others in destroying this evil.

Signed,
Xul of Daemonheim. Guardian of the Kingdom. "
Ok good luck

Calm Before the Storm

Sana blinked the rain from her eyes as the black-uniformed Elves marched her up the beach from the boat, the wind whipping round her hair. After days of a hood over her head, it felt heavenly. 11 glittering ships at anchor gleamed through the gloom, and she realised she was at Ape Atoll. They reached a cliffside path, and she glanced up to see a hooded figure waiting at the summit, barely visible in black against the night sky.

I suppose that’s their leader . She had given up asking questions after her second one had earned her a nasty cut above her right eye. And so, she had listened.
She had listened as they spoke in awe of how the Guardian of the Kingdom had returned from Daemonheim to save Prifddinas. She had listened as they remarked in disappointment how a Wushanko anâgâmi had died saving the capital, and had smiled under her hood as she realised their plans for starting a war with Wushanko had been left in tatters.

She had listened as they discussed how a worldwide defence force was assembling in the Feldip Hills to put an end to the undead menace. She had felt helpless rage that she couldn’t join them. She had fantasized about escaping, swimming to shore and fighting alongside legendary heroes to save the world.

And she had sat in the boat and done nothing.

A startled bird’s shrill call interrupted the young Cadarn mage’s wandering thoughts as they climbed the path. Somewhere north-west of here, the fate of the world hung in the balance. Heroes of every race united for a common goal: survival. She couldn’t help directly, but she realised she was fighting her own battle right here, right now. They wanted her alive for something, which meant she had a chance. She would only get one, and she had to take it. She had to find the courage from somewhere.

They reached the cliff edge and threw her to the ground roughly. Sana peered over at the crashing waves below. Could she survive the fall? Maybe. Probably not. She glared defiantly at the shrouded figure as she climbed to her feet.

“I said she was not to be harmed,” he rasped from beneath his hood. His voice radiated menace, and she sensed her captors’ fear. He raised his hand to silence their apologies.

“Sana Valtris,” he spoke. “I apologise for your treatment. Ailred had the opportunity to look over your file, and believed you could be of use to us.”

Sana could scarcely believe her ears. “You want me to join you? After everything you’ve done? I heard these idiots talking, I know everything! Everyone’s out there fighting to save the world and you nearly destroyed Prifddinas!”

“We’re saving Prifddinas,” the man fired back from beneath his hood. “And everyone in Gielinor for that matter, from themselves and the chaos they inflict upon our world. But we can only do that from a position of strength…”

Athens and Sparta

Things were falling onto place now. Some kind of weapons test…what kind of people would…

The shadowy figure took a step forward, and she took a step back. She was at the edge of the cliff, the waves booming far below. “Imagine,” he spoke, his voice velvet now. “A world of order. No borders, no wars. All the races of Gielinor united under one banner. Our banner. Is that not your dream also?”

“Who are you? I can’t believe the Elder Council would…”

She could sense his smile beneath the dark hood. “Let’s just say we keep a low profile…but we have friends in very high places. And we don’t answer to senators and their bureaucrats…only to the dream of the Kingdom of Isafdar.”

Sana could not believe what she was hearing. “The charter expressly forbids-”

“-then I suggest you read it more closely,” the figure snapped. “Section 13 of the charter makes allowances for…bending the rules…during times of extraordinary threat.”

Sana threw her hands in the air. “The zombie outbreak? You made it worse! The only extraordinary threat I see is you !”

“Then you’re a fool. Look at the world around you. We are surrounded by those who cling to the old ways. As long as they are allowed to continue, the world remains fractured, bleeding. There’s only one way to unite the world, and it’s not by asking nicely,” he sneered.

Her anger flared. “So you’re just going to unleash those things on them?” The rain beat down relentlessly and the gale intensified. “They tried to help us! Their anâgâmi died saving us! They’re out there now fighting and dying for us all! That’s how you unite the world…by working together!” Tears welled in her eyes. “They’re our friends,” she pleaded.
