~Introduction~



This thread is dedicated towards the Friend's Chat channel that tracks the prices of the following limited edition items that were released through the Squeal of Fortune, Treasure Hunter, and other Jagex promotion events:

The prices given by the Friends Chat are the most recent Grand Exchange transaction reports that have been reported in the FC and from the forums. Prices can change at any time. PCs should only be used as a guide and not a set price. The FC is meant for Price Checking, Trading (Read Trading System post before trading), and reporting prices.

Rares Thread [Sof/Th Disc. Status Series]:

These threads are located in the Item Discussion section of the official RuneScape forums. The purpose of the Sof/th Disc. Item Status thread is to keep track of the prices for items that are PC’ed in the [Th Rares Pc] FC. The prices on this thread are only historical. Prices are subject to volatility and rapid changes at any time, so prices on this thread should only be used as a guide.

Former Owner of The Friend's Chat:
In January 2013, The Motherland founded ‘SOF Rares Pc’ – the first Friend’s Chat committed to the accurate reporting of prices of popular discontinued items that were released through the Squeal of Fortune (SOF), which was later to become Treasure Hunter (TH), and other Jagex promotion events. ~Rules~
RuneScape Rules:
•The FC upholds and abides by the rules of RuneScape. If any FC user is found to be breaking a game rule (i.e. Bug Abuse, Scamming, Gambling, etc.) they can and will be removed from the FC and may be placed on the FC*s Kick On Sight (KOS) list or banned from the FC.

Offensive Language/Flaming/Personal Attacks:
•Offensive language will not be tolerated in the FC. General offensive language not directed at any player should be first given a warning, although kick ranks may use their discretion depending on the situation/context.
•Racist remarks = Auto Kick

•Disrespect towards any player (rank or non-rank) is not allowed and is grounds for instant removal without warning. Any complaints or concerns about another player/rank should be approached with private messages in-game to the admins of the FC.

Conflicts: (FALSE CONFLICT = Kick and KOS)
•If there is a non-rank + non-rank conflict, ranks will ask where the issue was and try to solve what the issue is and correct it.
•If there is a rank/non-rank conflict, ask what the issue is and work together in solving it.
•All reports and conflicts must have screenshots ready if ranks demand to see it on higher valued SOF/TH rares, otherwise the report/conflict will be treated as invalid.

Off topic:
•Off-topic is allowed in the Friends Chat, but will be reduced at times of high fc activity and/or when a new TH/SOF tradeable rares promotion is active.

Obvious Trolling:
•Comments such as “PC bronze plate” or other obvious comments made to disrupt the FC are kickable.

Trading Within the FC:
•Trading is allowed in the FC (Read the Trading System post for more info).

Price Trends/Movements:
•There should be no discussion price trends in the FC. This includes discussing past prices or future prices.

Comments on Kicks/PCs:
•Commenting on Kicks/PCs create unnecessary spam and is not allowed in the FC. [ SoF/Th Rares | Disc. Rares ]

~Friends Chat Rules (cont.)~

Lobby/Beta/OSRS:

•These rules do not apply to ranks as they can still be helpful to the FC from lobby/other servers.

•Players on a Beta Server or OSRS Server are permitted to use the FC only until the FC reaches a maximum capacity. These players are to be given a warning, and then removed if they do not leave after 1-2 minutes if full. This rule does not apply if the player is running lists from one of these servers.

•If the FC reaches maximum capacity (100 players), Lobbiers may be removed after being given a second public warning. The number of players in the FC can be checked using the orb of counting.

•Players using the Companion App (show up as being in lobby) may give reports from lobby as any price manipulation attempts can be caught through the conflict system. These players should leave the FC when ranks are removing lobbiers and may rejoin after lobbiers have been removed.

Trending/Spam/Wrong Chats:

•Any player spamming the FC will be removed from the FC with or without warning.

•The following all constitute spam:

TRENDING

-Any overuse of the symbols (~!@#$%^*) (Overuse is 5+ symbols in a line, 3-4 should be given a warning)
-Autotyping spam
-Asking for price checks more than once within 9 lines
-Repeated wrong chats (3 or more)

Encouraging Trust Trades:
(i.e. Doubling)
•You WILL be instantly kicked even if it was a wrong chat
•NOTE: Staking wrong chats are NOT instant kick.

Manipulation:
•Any attempts to manipulate will result in being instantly removed from the FC.

Offensive Names:
*If a player with an offensive name talks in the FC, you should ask them to change their name and refrain from speaking until the change occurs. If they continue to talk in the FC, they may be removed.
•If a player with an offensive name is in the FC but isn’t speaking, you may not kick them, but it is recommended that you report them for the offensive name. [ SoF/Th Rares | Disc. Rares ]

~Price Checking Guidelines + System~

The following list of SOF/TH rares is the order in which we use to maintain the price checks for easy use and access. Some lines unfortunately won’t be price checked in the FC but will be kept up to date through the forums and reports will be accepted.

Head:

0.00s / 0.00b / 00b (fish/crab/tree)
Seasons:

00.0s / 00b / 00b (crown/cloak/pet)
Armor:

00.0b / 00.0b / 0.00b / 0.00b (chest/legs/gloves/boots)
Mimic:

0.0b / 000b (helm/cape)
Gem:

00.0s / 00.0b / 000s (necklace/crown/cape)


When reporting a price update don’t forget to mention what type of trade it was.
B = instant buy (IB) or non-instant sell (NIS) and rounded up to the nearest digit,
S = instant sell (IS) or non-instant buy (NIB) and rounded down to the nearest digit.

Items below 10m will be noted with 2 numbers after the comma, (0.85s or 5.98b)
Items below 100m will be noted with 1 number after the comma (10.5s or 89.5b)
Items above 100m will be noted with no comma (503s or 851b)

Reporting in the FC.
If an item is Instant Bought or Non-Instant Sold for 5.123.123 coins, report it this way : IB item/ NIS item 5.13b.
If an item is Instant Sold or Non-Instant Bought for 5.123.123 coins, report it this way : IS item/ NIB item 5.12s.
If the item is below 10mil, you must have 2 digits after the comma, and the price is rounded up for B. It is important you follow this rounding system when using the FC. [ SoF/Th Rares | Disc. Rares ]

~Trading System and Rules~

As stated in the earlier posts, Trading TH/SOF items in the FC is currently allowed, but with certain limitations. You may buy, trade, and/or sell TH/SOF rares with each other in the FC. If you use the FC to trade with another person, you must not state the Quantity or Price of “X” items and that trades between another person will not be taken as a price update if the trade happens. ONLY TH/SOF items are allowed to be traded through the FC and not other items.

•For example: Saying, "Sell luchador pm me." is ALLOWED.

•But saying, "Selling 200 luchadors cheap or for 100k ea" WILL NOT BE ALLOWED because this states a quantity and price also can be misleading to start trending which is not allowed in the FC.

Only TH/SOF items, no price, no quantity, no trending, and definitely no spamming it. Any form of trending will have a rank telling you to read the forum rules and a kick from the FC to give you time to read and understand the rules.

TH/SOF skill sets that are tradable for other parts are also allowed in the Friends Chat as long as the player doesn't spam looking for specific pieces multiple times. [ SoF/Th Rares | Disc. Rares ]

~Ranking System and Members~

Ranks may not be permanently demoted without specific reasons and proof of rule breaking. However, pending an investigation, ranks may be demoted temporarily.
After numerous amounts of offenses are brought up for a rank, invidual generals and/or groups of ranks can vote/choose to demote or remove rank from thus person.

A Person can only be promoted ONCE per month maximum and the higher the rank the slower you will be promoted.

~Kick Rank Guidelines~

First of all, let it be clear that all ranks should be trustworthy and dedicated to making the chat run smoothly and when needed, help players use it. Players using the fc should be seen as our purpose rather than our enemies.
Kicking a Player
When someone is not following the rules, give a warning first.
Kicking a player from the fc should only be done as a last resort or when the player is on the KOS list. Always kick players on the KOS, if you feel they should be removed from KOS ask them to appeal on our thread in clan home and tell them to leave the fc until their appeal has been accepted. If a ranked member conflict occurs with a report, do not kick right away. Instead, ask the person if there was a confusion in his report and try to solve the issue. If the person is caught lying about his report you may KICK but if there was a mistake or any confusion by the other party or yourself, allow the person to remain in the fc.
Kicks without warning: inappropriate/foul language, insults, disrespect and/or accusations against another player. Clear evidence of an attempt to manipulate prices (i.e. “dump your mimic capes now!”).
Kicking another ranks: should not happen normally and if it occurs, pm a Captain rank or higher ASAP to let us know. If you have an argument with another rank, try to move it to private or tell an admin if you cannot solve it by yourself.
When not to kick : Do not kick for a single off topic question, a single wc, a pc request for an item that we do not price check but may be considered rare by others (i.e. santa hat/drygores/3a). Do not kick for a non-rank conflict unless someone is obviously manipulating or fake conflicting. Do not kick someone who doesn't know our rules, but instead refer them to our thread in clan home for rules. [ SoF/Th Rares | Disc. Rares ]
