I don't know about how you guys to things, but I use mage armor to enhance my offensive capabilities and switch to rune & hides when I'm taking damage. The attacks are pretty powerful but you can't do them when tanking, is sorta what it has grown into.

As for the Bounty Hunter thread above... I've gotta admit I've never been into PKing and haven't ever used the old Bounty Hunter mechanics... But your idea sounds good to me. It seemed a shame that the old Bounty Hunter content went to waste with the return of the old Wildy. Just one point for improvement - perhaps allow Bounty Hunting only on specific worlds again (You may have already been thinking this but you haven't specified) in order to make this totally avoidable for any players who don't want to use it. To counter that, perhaps a more generous XP modifier to ensure people come to do it. I reckon you could easily justify double, or higher XP bonuses.
Oh, and I hate to be pedantic, but on the line about the general experience modifier you accidentally wrote kill twice

Anyway, other than those super awesome demon ashes, what do we all think about February BTS??

The current profanity filter update controversy is providing me with many lols. It's like these people are offended at the very IDEA that they could turn off the filter and be offended. It should all die off very quickly, since as I see it, none of the points being made are valid except one - does it promote immaturity? And only time well tell that.

Also, I'll be resubscribing quite soon to catch up on quests :) . Prisoner of Glouphrie looks like a smashing good time.

P.S. Third piece of content in less than a month which formally had a "We're not going to be releasing this" status. Free Trade, PKing and Toggle Filter.

Psycho, that's a good question. I really don't know. That rule must only extend to racial slurs and such now.

Also - I'm back! And I've got three quests under my belt already :)

Prisoner of Glouphrie: Very fun and engaging. Also extremely short, not much more than a teaser of Arposandra.

Elemental Workshop III: With a guide, the puzzle is not quite soul killing, but not quite fun. Hoping the future EW quests are not so frustrating.

Kind of the Dwarves: Excellent! Fun! The 'boss' was a joke - he's level 160, and isn't even attacking you for most of the fight, but hard bosses at the end of short, easy quests are the bane of my existence, so I'm fine with it.

Tomorrow, thieving training for "Do No Evil". And then I'm stuck with Nomad and Pest Queen again...

I always meant to do more questing, but never got around to it... :P

Anywho, I've seen active players top 200k a number of times now. At least in the short run, Jagex seems to be making good decisions.

Edit: However, even with this bump in active users the daily visitor count is still only 75% of what it was 1 year ago.
