I honestly love dster's idea on the rank revamp, but perhaps the smiley rank could stay the way it is and give the old 'veterans' a leader rank, since most of them seem to do that anyway?
But looking at this on a broader POV I think you people are just trying to be nice and not pick on the ones who somehow got their rank and are still not up to par with a good floor's standards. This drags down dg4fun's standards, and the ones who suffer are the good dungers like Star(Kyrspeedy), XCIX, and Arepa (seen him spam/rage in a floor at a fighter and still didn't get a response, and ended up running to the said person's gate. It's almost embarrassing to watch).
I have seen occasionally now some are reluctant to form floors because they're not in the mood to put up with people who don't gate or are just plain slow. A few weeks ago I've tried to help someone who insisted on fishing/upgrading armour as a fighter and say "Well, people in my team are happy with what I'm doing" and they've been around a while before getting kicked. How did these people manage to stay in the clan, and more importantly, how did they get their ranks in the first place?
I'm not one who enjoys telling people what to do but evidently the keyer ranks need to make sure the said new member have a good understanding what to do in the floor, and aren't hesitant to correct anyone (including an existing rank) who stray from their role. The generals need to be more strict upon selecting keyer applicants and actually give ranks to those who'll feed the clan some quality people. Being nice does not mean quickly approving new applicants. Sorry if I sound harsh, but I really think this is the problem and it'll only get worse if we continue to let more illegitimate people join without giving the advice/support that they need.
(Sorry my late post on this topic)
