War and Campaign History

Compiled by former Legates Redsparten0 and Pax Bellum: a brief index of early wars

•Military War
War against the military clan, proposed after a flame war between TRE and TMC. Werewolph, Caesar, and Red took on their clan in the wilderness. Rome won in a matter of minutes.

•The Arma Crusades
A series of wars against Arma Orum, two-three.

*The Final Fight
Rome engages Arma in a massive fight, about 50-60 people there altogether, sides uneven, and Rome has the size advantage. But almost everyone from Arma is wearing rune. Very even fight that takes a long time, led by Generals Redsparten0 and Griffin101.

•First Civil War
Saragirl555 engages in a civil war.

•Griffen's Rebellion
After accused of taking all the credit for the war against Arma, Grif makes his own clan and wages war.

•The Lancaster War
Lancaster threatens Rome with his clan of "over a million members", a laughable claim. Lancaster refuses war, so Rome sends Rule362 to trick him into believing that TRE is low leveled and green. Lancaster and a handful of his people meet Rome in the Wilderness, where they are beaten and Lancaster is the only survivor.

•Maco-Roman War
The Macedonian Empire (Mace) was established by former and future TRE members. The leader of Mace, Pax, led a long but generally anti-climatic war against Caesar's TRE - until Sarge454, a leader in Mace and former leader in TRE, betrayed Pax and Mace by joining Caesar. Irate, Pax agreed to a joint PK trip with TRE as a sign of good will - where upon Mace ambushed TRE and took out both Sarge and Caesar.

•First Imperial-Roman War
IRE, a small and unimportant clan, declares war on TRE for no real reason. Flame and threats were going back and forth for days, until a war was fought and won at Black Knights Fortress. TRE outnumbered them: 25 against 5, and won the war.

War and Campaign History Continued


•Second Imperial-Roman War
Offensive posts and videos are made against IRE, and after they were given false info that IRE was going to attack TRE a large group of Romans were sanctioned to follow IRE's regent and harass him in public. IRE declared war on TRE after that, and Corruptive Powers backed out from helping Termin after delicate maneuvering by Pax and Mos. In the end, TRE and its allies won, outnumbering IRE and LORE by a 2 to 1 margin. (It was about 60 vs 40)

•Imperialists vs. Republicans
A few senators in TRE were trying to get TRE to evolve into a Republic, and the new name would be Rome . It approved, and TRE renamed itself Rome. But Matt Musou, and Screameagle6 rebelled and maintained The Roman Empire with the backing of Pax - leader of Eternal Glory, Jakethepower- leader of the Byzantine Empire, and Paint244- leader of Kingdom of Ardougne. Shortly after Rome surrendered and no war was fought. Eternal Glory and The Byzantine Empire merged into TRE and added more strength.

•Inter Roman War
For six years TRE ruled over Roman clans as the dominant clan. When an upcoming competitor, SPQR, warred New Age Rome and claimed itself the dominant Roman clan TRE had something to prove. Emperor Peanut 646 declared war under pressure from Rome's Legatus, Pax. On the day of the war TRE outnumbered SPQR 23-7. TRE won all 3 rounds.

•Angel-Romano War
TRE was being pressured by AOD during a depression, a time when TRE was too weak to fight any wars. With TRE back at full strength and activity, Emperor Peanut 646 went to war with AOD for revenge. On the date of the war, 3-15-09, TRE had outnumbered AOD 24-17, and won the first round 19-0. After being demolished in Round 1, AOD snuck into the FFA portal in clan Wars and silently recruited, but were caught. With the terms of the war violated (No allies/Help) the war was drawn up as a generous draw.

War and Campaign History Continued


•Arcane-Romano War
Youyou 6300, leader of TAK, had been an IRE puppet in previous wars, and came to TRE's thread threatening Rome. Emperor Pax found this unacceptable and declared on TAK immediately. The war was fought at clan wars, where TRE pulled 30 where as TAK pulled about 18. RI won both rounds fought.


•Arabic-Roman Skirmish
Another war was declared and fought - this one within 10 Minutes. This was Rome's first victory since the beginning of the Resurgency, and marked the solid return of TRE. Pax had Rome declare on AEK for their "unacceptable" behavior within the clan community. TRE declared, and AEK wanted to fight right away - to which Pax obliged them. AEK was defeated with some ease. TRE suffered 0 losses, even being outnumbered. -6/10/09

•First Sara-Romano War
SIL and SOS had flamed TRE and declared war the first week it had been public again. About a week after war was declared, Paint244 had come to power as Emperor. He brought 40+ old KOA members back, which intimidated SIL and SOS. So SIL and SOS went on an ally recruiting spree. When the war came, SIL had backed out, and SOS pulled 21. TRE pulled 55. Rome destroyed them. June, 2009.


•War of Oppression
TRE supported The Royal Roman Empire in a war against a W31 clan who was 'oppressing' them. Emperor Pax, looking for war, offered support under guise of protection. On the day of the war, it was 75 vs. 55. TRE pulled 30 out of the 75. Two wars were fought. Rome won. The first war on October 25th, and the first war since June of 2009.


•Joint Zamorak-Romano War
AOZ asked TRE for support in a war against Battle For the Sun. On October 25th, TRE and AOZ defeated BFTS and won 2/3 rounds.

•Second Saradomin-Romano War
TRE declared on SIL for further actions against TRE. On 10/28/09, TRE outnumbered SIL 98-36. SIL had a total of 800 casualties, TRE an estimated 400. TRE won.

•Roman Raiding 12/21/09
SIL declared on a rebel clan, Zamorak Knights - a clan four times smaller than SIL itself, and a protectorate of Rome. TRE, under Emperor Pax , felt sympathetic toward ZK (and under Protectorate obligation) and decided to support ZK by 'raiding' the war. TRE showed up, to SIL's outrage, and pulled over half of ZK's fighting force. SIL and their ally were quickly cut down.

•First War of Northern Aggression 1/16/10
On Emperor Screameagle6's rise to power he was forced to go to war with TNF. TRE was in recession, and lost the war due to the hasty decision.

•Second War of Northern Aggression 3/7/10
Two months later TNF and TRE had another war under Proto. TRE pulled 20 to TNF's 12, however TNF was massacred.

•Aussie-Romano War 5/22/10
Aus Claws sent TRE a declaration of war. Emperor Pax accepted, and TRE defeated AC in three rounds at CW, suffering 0 losses. Total pull of 20 versus a total pull of 6.

•World Thirty One Conflict 6/5/10
Emperor Pax promises to support the Republic of W31 in a war against Woria Will and The Last Alliance when support was requested from an ally and Senator, Sen Gracchus. On the day of the war, TRE and the Republic outnumbered Woria Will 81-57, an estimated pull. TRE and the Republic prevailed over Woria in two rounds.

• Third Sara-Romano War 1/2/11
SIL believed TRE needed allies to win in a war against them, TRE answered - by, naturally, declaring war on them. Super, leader of SIL, promised war by the end of December - it was continuously delayed. When the war finally came, TRE pulled 34 to SIL's 18. TRE won all three rounds. TRE suffered 3 casualties, while SIL had 36 casualties in the first two rounds. The third round was for fun and TRE won it as well in a massacre. No allies were used by TRE or SIL.

First Golden Age

In a time of a vast Roman community, a superpower emerged in the form of The Western Roman Empire. It was an expansive community. Many Roman factions existed; The Western Roman Empire (dominant), The Northern Roman Empire, The Eastern Roman Empire, Rome, The Southern Roman Empire, The Roman Kingdom, The Roman Republic, The Roman Legion, and The Southwest Roman Empire.

This was the Pre-TRE age of Rome. Emperor Lord Caesar2, founder of The Western Roman Empire, led Rome at the time as an aggressive Roman faction. A Roman crusade was launched, and the other Romans were eliminated. The Western Roman Empire became known as "The Roman Empire"

Little is left to know about the founding of Rome, other than it was forged in 2004 under the leadership of Emperor Lord Caesar2. For years, TRE would exercise itself as a superpower under his reign. This era, 2004-2007, is Rome's first golden age.

TRE's most skilled and talented leaders were together in this period, all working together in the Senate and Praetorian Guard to improve the infrastructure and foundations of Rome herself. The beginning of Roman pride, and glory.

Though civil wars still existed, none were able to topple Rome.

Under Lord Caesar, many wars existed; the Military Clan War, the Roman Crusades to vanquish the other Roman Factions, and the Crusades against Arma Orum. These are only a few examples.

Not until Caesar went away, for a period of time, appointing Josh1993 as the new emperor, did things start to go downhill. Many Romans were unhappy with Caesar's choice, and left Rome to form their own clan: Imperial Glory. The few loyal Romans left went through hell to keep the empire together.

By the time Caesar had returned, Josh had resigned as emperor and Redsparten0, a respected general, had been elected in his place. By now, Rome was back on its feet and fairly peaceful, but Caesar's arrival caused a lot of turmoil.

First Golden Age

2007

Older Romans who had left Rome when Josh took over immediately returned to support Caesar's request for the throne. The new generation of Romans stood behind Redsparten, and felt it wasn't acceptable for Caesar to leave Rome for months and demand leadership back. Caesar and his followers formed their own clan, and a flame war began on Rome's thread that lasted for days.

Eventually, the two factions agreed to merge, and Redsparten agreed to become general and allow Caesar to reign as emperor again. At the time a plebeian, Pax Bellum, began leading a series of hostile clans geared toward TRE. An open critic of Caesar, Pax warred Rome frequently.

But, just as peace returned and the status quo resumed, Caesar left again. A triumvirate of three members was set up to lead Rome, originally composed of Redsparten, Racecar20219, and Zang He7; but later including many other members, such as Cunningfox12 and MosMaiorum. Rome was ruled by the triumvirate for most of the year.

Under the triumvirate, the Senate became active again and elections resumed. Rome's new generation of members, including Dobee, Snake Venom, Old King 5, and many others, proved to be a reliable group of people, and did their best to rebuild Rome after a period of civil war and political unrest. Rome made alliances with many new clans during this period of time, and successfully fought a good amount of wars against both old and new enemies.

Despite the wars and conflicting campaigns, TRE walked out stronger and stronger. 2007 was frequently called TRE's Dark Age by Romans from Lord Caesar2's generation, but the Romans who used the term "dark age"were the same ones who abandoned TRE in 2007 and didn't contribute a thing to it. TRE may not have had an enormous amount of members during this period, but it certainly had a stronger community spirit, and won its fair share of wars.

First Golden Age

The year 2008 was a rough period for Rome. The year had began with Redsparten0's reign. However, after his long ruling over Rome, he resigned and appointed Pax Bellum as Emperor.

Pax Bellum's first Reign was short, but fruitful. TRE warred the Kingdom of Yanille for going to war on a small clan. The battle between TRE and KoY took place at Rogues Castle, where KoY was massacred and shortly after disbanded. Feeling unready, Pax resigned despite a victory.

Paint244 became Emperor and ran TRE into the ground. This was the beginning of the Dark Ages. Pax Bellum returned and rebuilt with what he knew, and it did fairly well. He led for a couple weeks and left. Paint began leading again, so Pax Bellum also came back, again, and led with Paint for a month.

According to the people, including Cunningfox12 who started the rumors, Paint had betrayed Rome. Pax Bellum tried getting rid of Paint behind the scenes. Annoyed, he failed and left Rome to establish Eternal Glory.

Screameagle6 took his place, and had a vote. He had Paint overthrown with the endorsement rom Pax and EG. Emperor Scream led TRE back into some prosperity, but he wasn't well liked. Because he was not among the veteran class his leadership was viewed as illegitimate. Detecting opportunity, Pax merged EG into TRE and filed a law suit (which existed then) and had Scream impeached in court - appeasing Pax's veteran cohort.

Pax was elected emperor once again. He won his second war during leadership against the clan Sparta in support of an alliance. After a little over a month he was forced again to resign due to real life issues.

He appointed Benjo350 Emperor in his place, but Lordchill came to TRE and antagonized Benjo and he resigned. MosMaiorum was also leading. Mattb6123 and Tard53 were elected to lead with Mos. Thus was the third Triumvirate born.

As Emperor Peanut, brother of Lord Caesar, rose to the throne - Rome laid in a period of turmoil and depression, scarred by civil war.

Also, approximately this period, multiple members decided to leave Rome and forge a legacy of their own elsewhere. This group included Freedomfox59, Pioneer Fall (Taverson), Skillz319, and Looney352. Pax Bellum, though initially planning to accompany them, chose to remain in TRE for his own reasons. These members established the clan "The Renaissance", which for a time maintained a highly successful and prosperous clan, as well as a continued close relationship with TRE that few could compare to. They would last from 2009 into 2012, before disbanding.

Later, however, Peanut's mind and actions became controversial. After wanting to go to war with the anti-union, Corruptive Powers, Romans had enough. In what seemed to be a catastrophe for TRE, MosMaiorum and Pax set aside their differences in order to fend off a union of war-mongering clans. Enlisting the support of other Unions, such as UFC with the help of God Justice1, TRE turned what had been a union versus a single clan into the potential of an all-out war of unions. Disaster was averted through skillful diplomacy, despite the hostile exchanges that remained.

Consequently Peanut was usurped, and he and his loyalists left Rome to form Asian War Theatre (AWT) which quickly became hostile to TRE.

TRE changed it's name to Roma Imperia under Pax - aiming to take on a more militant and aggressive reputation within the community - and to capitalize on it's very public victory.

Hardships were, however, encountered. With Rome thrown into civil war (hostilities between Rome-AWT) it caused divisions in loyalty and split Rome.

The troubles were ground out over time, and Rome moved on. AWT collapsed.

With a new modern age of Rome finally forged through civil war, it took on an aggressive reputation within the community - under a short lived, new name Roma Imperia .

With the return of Termin8u2, the leader of IRE who had first come into contact with TRE when he threatened Emperors MosMaiorum and Redsparten0 in 2007, Termin hunting was sanctioned by Pax as part of his Hornet's Nest strategy.

To hunt down and harass IRE and it's king, Termin8u2.


After days of Termin hunting with KOA and it's king, Paint, IRE declared on TRE, KOA, and all their allies - including Burning Descent, led by Matt0708. Termin began gathering a coalition of clans to bring down TRE, KOA, and BD. Soon after, an old ally of Termin's, Youyou 6300, threatened Rome. Pax immediately declared on TAK (The Arcane Knights) and BD joined in on that war as soon as TAK declared it an all out war. Rome was now fighting two wars, both involving many clans.

After these wars, Roma Imperia went underground for a short period of time. The wars had created many civil problems in RI, especially when it had just come off a Civil War between Peanut, Mos, and Pax.

Nearly a month later, Pax uncovered Roma Imperia and prepared it to flex it's new muscles. It soon reverted back to it's name, The Roman Empire, and demonstrated the return of TRE power. It did this by quickly defeating the Arab Empire of Kharid.

After this victory, Pax Bellum gave power to Skillz319. Seeing an opportunity, Paint244 snatched power and stepped onto the throne. TRE went 100+ and contained a majority 100+ members (many originated from the merge with Kingdom of Ardougne). It soon carried on the war against SIL and demolished them in a war fought at clan wars.

For about a month TRE flourished, but Paint's authoritarian regime had upset the few remaining veteran Romans. Paint decided to change TRE into Vengeance and completely reconstruct Rome entirely. Upsetting loyal TRE members, a meeting was held and TRE was saved. However, Paint and the rest of the members left to create Vengeance 100+.

MosMaiorum was elected Emperor and Mattb6123 was elected Regent. TRE went strictly non-warring and entered a Pax Romana (Roman Peace) from July all the way to August (2009). Under Mos' reign, clan and Senate activity went up, and a steady stream of new Romans were flowing in. TRE remained in a period of peace and prosperity for the entire reign.

During this period, the activity of TRE's Senate was the highest it had been since the reign of Lord Caesar2. The Roman Academy was also reformed and began teaching a new generation of leaders.

After Mos' resignation, King Science became emperor. Pax Bellum, who was banned under Mos' regime, was leading a rebel faction known as Rogue Legion. Pax merged RL into Rome and undermined KS. Science was impeached, and Pax took the throne once more.
