As we're on the topic of RuneLabs and why it's inaccurate and unfair:
Someone with an average idea who puts a lot of work into advertising it and getting his friends (and friends of friends) and so on to (blindly) support ends up with hundreds of supporters and has more success than someone with a top quality idea who goes unnoticed with the odd supporter since he hasn't really put any time and effort into advertisement and spreading the word. The former manages to make it to the polling, while the latter fails and doesn't. Support is having more power over content and quality.
Fairness and accuracy can only be achieved when a platform exists where all of the ideas are getting equal advertisement to the same audience, but as it is currently, some are getting lots of exposure while others are getting none and are as a result doomed to staying in the dark.
Also, even if something as equal and perfect as that is achieved and you have the same audience and amount of people exposed to all of the ideas (as is the case when it comes to the final polling), issues of misinformation are encountered as has been discussed.
