1 question , what if leader changes focus of clan entirely?
Say it was a skilling and the leader started pvp ,making that be focus of clan
I personally think the clan members own clan as much as leader does .
For many the ethos of a clan is the main reason for joining a particular clan .
Does a leader have the right to completely change direction of clan altogether?
personally I think not

It wasn't so much on that topic, but that would certainly be a good article. It would need to be the clan's choice, but if the leader did so the members would decide to either stay or live.

I also agree it's a mutualistic relationship, as I said:

"The leaders goal is to protect and serve the clan and clan members, and while clan members should be able to dispute your decisions, they should not try to overrule you in a disrespectful manner."

"leadership is a mutual relationship, both the leader and the clan member contribute equal parts in the relationship"

David, a couple of weeks ago I tried visiting the Runescape Today website (I wanted to see if anyhting was new since it was mentioned in the Community Roundup), but I was informed that the site was closed?

It's fine now, but what had happened?

Before the evolution of combat, my clan was a warring clan, we did the wars, and we had fun with it! About 6 moths after EoC, We as leaders didnt just be like "hey now, we doing pvp, gl" we had a couple of clan meetings with everyone to try to decide the future of the clan, and it did come down to changing our focus to pvm.

That being said, a lot of us do still have the warring experience and could still probably shift back to warring if it were to resurface more.

Just last weekend we tried a war to see how well we would do and ended up winning all 3 rounds when we were somewhat out-geared and what not, so everything is a possibility when it comes to clans =D

It was temporarily shut down because at the time I was very busy, and needed the money for other things. This time however, I've just subscribed the site for 3 months at a much lower cost, and will have more free time to get it started. ^_^
