so it's like the internet...
in physical form?
Yes, but less cats/trolls and more of using your brain. It hurts the first time, but it gets better as you keep going.

Strange. I thought books just appeared on the little tablet computer, and went away when the book gods recalled them. I support mystical bookism
I'm actually reading The War Z atm. I understand why it's written the way it is, but it's still a little hard for me to read. I get into one account and then
BOOM
, on to the next one.

Where does one go to get books? Is it as easy as the internet?
A mystical place far away from your house, it requires you take a journey of epic proportions and a quest of knowledge to venture outside into world of Real and search for the mysterious place that is known as a 'Library' in the jungle that is known as 'City'. There will be fierce traps such as 'One Way Only' or 'Road Closed', other traps to entice you such as '2 for 1 deals on soft-drink' or 'Free Drink with every purchase!' as well as the native population who consist of many differing subspecies such as 'children', 'babies', 'adults' and 'old people'... it's a dangerous world to explore, so Google if ye dare!
If that sounds too difficult I believe all you do is look for it in the 'Amazon' and you can find them there for sale by others such as yourself. :o

I myself love to curl up to a good Harry Potter book. I also like romance novels but for the most part it depends on who writes it for if i will like it. I have found I will go looking in my favorite genre and hate the book just because of the way the author writes it. I also love reading Christian series such as Left Behind. It's weird because i used to hate reading and now I'll sit in rs lobby (showing clan chat) and read a nice book.
If you like romance/tragedy wuthering heights, I personally hate the book as it makes me really frustrated and angry.
But its a good book nonetheless.

I love reading, but finding less and less time to read. :-( Quite like a good classic, but I haven't found a good book in a while...
Depending on what you mean by classic, in the strictest sense of the word if you want a classic you could read Homer's Iliad although large portions of it are men standing around taking turns lobbing pointy things at each other, it is surprisingly anticlimactic although I am sure in its day it was quite the epic poem.
If you mean classic in a broader sense of the word start reading some Hemmingway, I fell in love with his descriptive style.
If your brave and don't mind novels a little bit on the graphic side Ellis or Burges would be worth a go, if you only read one from each try American Psycho (Ellis) a Clockwork Orange (Burges).
If you wan't to read more by either author I would recommend Rules of Attraction in Ellis case and the Kingdom of the wicked in Burges case (*disclaimer* could seriously offend someone on grounds of their religion).
People often do not consider Sci-Fi as a particularly distinguished genre but read at least one Heinlein, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress would be my recommendation, it is a Classic as far as I am concerned.
The Godfather if you haven't read it is worth a read and I am out of space.
As for what I like to read... Everything. I'm about to read
Atlas Shrugged
, I heard that it was good. But I haven't started it yet so if anyone goes off and reads it now and it ends up being horrible, don't blame me!
Anyone have any favourite books? Mine would be:
The Iliad
,
The Odyssey
,
The Chronicles of Narnia
,
Harry Potter
,
My Sister's Keeper
... Ok I should stop before I end up with a page-long list...
*Takes a cookie from Mej and wanders back to her beanbag chair in the corner and continues reading*
Thanks for the cookies, Mej.

Isn't that one of those "school approved" books that you are supposed to read in English class? When I think of those kinds of books I think of
Of Mice and Men
or
Lord of the Flies
books *shudders* I never seemed to get along with those types of books and passed the tests on being a great test taker. Those kinds of books made me think I hated reading. However thanks for the suggestion all the same ^.^
