Formed Oct 20, 2017 by a group of clan leaders, with positive intentions to work collaboratively on social and group ideas for updates, and discussing the kinds of issues clan and community leaders may have with group activities in the context of the whole of game experience.

Clan leaders have been vying for clan attention pretty much the same way since the clan system was released and it has been pretty hit and miss. Let's think outside the square and examine how we ask for clan updates, focusing on those that promote group activity and the social atmosphere.

WE ARE PROJECT BASED and aim to work on ideas and concepts that are complementary to CLF and CLD. Projects are managed via a G Suite account currently administered by a team of 3 (Ignore List, Jigzag and Noeticus). This is to prevent having a google drive that is owned by a single person. We encourage CLF members to be in both servers, as CLD is where JMod Q&A happens.

We can all have a tendency to not see the forest for the trees - we aim to keep our projects as high level ones where we present the needs of the player community in relation to clans, in our role as community leaders, with an intelligent and mature approach and assisting each other to achieve our desired outcomes.

The CLF is always the main purpose of the discord, which is a tool only. All matters relating to clan updates and the clan leaders forum that are discussed in the discord are open and any such collective decisions made within the discord will be progressed up to CLF. The discord will not be a replacement for CLF.

This discord server has no one person known as 'the owner', it is being organized by a team for the purpose of clan leader equality in their representation for their clan members - there is no power hierarchy. Only discord related issues are dealt with by the helper team and every participant can have a say in how the server is organized. The helper team will only have the decision in the case where no clear outcome is arrived at via participant polling. The helper team will never try to sway the collective decisions of the participating clan leaders in relation to clan update work.

We collaborate on ideas under discussion using discord as a tool only, and also Google Drive. We are all co-leaders of the space under which we collaborate.

BEHAVIOUR BOUNDARIES:

Respect is requested - no inter-clan battles in the general chat - and please control debates that are becoming too heated - we are adults and need to focus on the purpose of the discord.

Some moderation of chat is always needed when stuff like negative and inflammatory comments directed from one participant to another happens. In the first instance you will be asked to apologize and/or remove your comment. If that does not happen then they may be temporarily muted or even removed from the server.

We provide a feedback text channel for any comments, questions or issues with how the server is run. Constructive criticism is always welcome there.

THINGS TO BE DONE:

o One of the pinned topics in CLF is the J-Mod Feedback , which was started in 2013 but has not been updated since May 2017. Maybe we could get it up to date? Calm Enigma has done so much work for clan leaders with it. Let's not ignore this amazing resource.

o Also we are collaboratively trying to find a different approach on how to HELP Jagex by asking our own groups for their input on clans / fc's and what they want from them.

o We also would love feedback from clan leaders, whether they join or not, on what you see are the primary game influences affecting your clan right now - and what you are doing to work within those influences - an example might be using Discord to connect better between RS3 and OSRS if you run 'clans' in both games.
