It is some Clan Leaders who feel this way, and we have design considerations to include in our discussions. We have already made the changes to upkeep and progress that we were willing to - I do not think it is likely we will be making more in this area. Exactly, ty. I have seen comments saying that it shouldn't be difficult for larger clans. I think that point is funny lol. My clan has had 500 people for 4 years. My citadel has been maxed for ages. This post is about smaller clans, and simply that upkeep is a chore that shouldn't be needed. Once a goal is achieved, it should stay achieved unless new content is released. :)

What prompted my post was the number of new recruits that ask our admins if they have to check in to ask what they have to cap on because in their former clans they were either forced to cap or only "allowed" to cap on certain plots. I am not often on clan leader forums, so i didn't notice this topic was raised before. But on that same note, if the subject is raised repeatedly, there is probably a reason. :p

Every "building" needs maintaining, you cant just build one and expect it to last for all eternity, this is, in my opinion, something the clan needs to work on as a Clan, its about the only thing in game for clans to come together and have something to show for what they have done

Why not? The same thing doesnt happen with players houses, you dont build something then have to continuously maintain it for the rest of your days.

The design of the citadel and avatars is poor, the only consideration here is whether or not you want to undermine the decisions of the staff who originally came up with these ideas just in the same way there was stubbornness over the cool down system.

No support. A clan who can build up to Tier 7 should also have to put the work into it to keep it. It is pure laziness of the clans that stop upkeep from being met. For the benefits your clan gives to its members (community, bossing teams, and more) they should give back to the clan by capping or other forms. A clan that is long dead, shouldn't be able to keep their tier 7.

Advice to those who struggle with maintaining upkeep:

We have the conditional rule of mandatory capping, that if upkeep is being met regularly by those willing to contribute, capping is not required. However if upkeep is not met two days before the tick we require people cap going from lowest rank up until the upkeep is met.
