Oh I just realized in response to this, using seasonal hiscores with a good pair of data points can let you be highly certain of a name change between any two points in time with a very simple comparison algorithm.

That is one reason it's better than hiscores, which likely have to be looked up regularly for every clan mate for it to work.

With seasonals it should be sufficient to only look up the data when each person joins or changes their name, not daily like hiscores. The data of the joiner/name-changer can then be compared with the data of people who have left.

Some people don't have enough seasonal hiscores entries for this to work fully for them though. Still, you can say empty at date ___.

Just as an example, have a quick look at my seasonal hiscores entry:

If, at any point in the future, you look someone up whose seasonal hiscores entry begins identically to mine (if rank can change then ignore it), you can be almost certain that it is me, no matter when and no matter what my RSN is. No one else got a score of 111 for Penance King kills for the seasonal hiscore with the ID 1409047204321.

If you use an algorithm to convert the information in that array into a hash, then it should be a compact way to reliably store and compare two seasonal hiscores to check name changes.

Blasty, does this have a way to tell what date someone joins?

Edit: I mean like, I want to go to Member XYZ, and see what date he joined (sometime last year for example)

As long as I was using this since last year, it should right? Also can I manually input the data for what date a member joined for the member's that joined before I started using this?

It does, but it's not very user friendly. Admin menu -> open UI -> find name in list. It's more of a test of features than designed for actual use.

Besides that you can do a ctrl+F and see which cells light up.

The sheet works as a tool for referencing what information it gets rather than storing additional information although it's up to you how you want to customise it as long as you know what you're doing.

Whenever i want to find someone, the date they were promoted, joined left, demoted, i just go to the clan log tab and hold down CTRL + F then type their name :D
