I suggest making it the responsibility of the users of your tracker to manually input a name change. I'm not sure how you would have to code it, but this may be a simpler approach.

That's definitely something I will have planned for V2, where it references each player by ID with at least a manual option for changing names and it deals with the ID changes smoothly. I have a few things going on irl atm so my hobby coding projects progress will be slowing down. Jagex has said in CLF that they're looking into adding previous name data to the clan API so hopefully that's around when I have more time.

It currently stores the total xp gained for each player while they've been in the CC. Nothing is being done with the data at the moment, but it's possible to use it to show all kinds of -overall- xp gained for any time duration: daily, weekly, monthly, since joining or anything between.
