The Runelabs vote informed the player survey we put out and ensured that Clan Updates were included in that survey - sadly Clans did not do great in that survey so were never going to be a RuneFest headline.
I have spoken to Mod Osborne this morning though and he said he intends to discuss Clans and potential updates for them in the Q&A live stream today - will probably be worth watching.

@Ignore List, dayum, you're on a roll in here today.
Well...I've been away for a month so not been able to post in CLF properly so this should make up for a bit
I won't reply to all of that, as you raise some valid points. I represent my clans, logically I don't represent 100K+ clans. The poll Jamo posted only had a yes/no option and clan updates (at least the ones I've seen discussed) are always limited to the clan chat (like permission rewrite, citadel stuff, etc). Those are not important to my clans at all. The issues I've raised are mostly the ones my clans have or ones I witnessed in other clans.

We just want content we can do as a clan, but we also like to invite clan friends whenever we like. The majority of events we used to do are impossible now, due to minigames being absolutely dead
What you said above can be done in the friends chat and doesn't acctually require that clan chat as per say. I would argue that even though minigame might be dead it doesn't mean you can't do it with your clan. I host Heist and Great Orb Project in my clan and those are dead minigames but we have enough people in the clan to play it.
It's not about the chat, it's about the content. There's not much to do with 10+ players with varying levels and skills. Minigames with solely your own clan tend to be quite boring, as a minigame was also a place to meet people you didn't know before. Besides, looking at the F2P minigames most have severe issues that haven't been solved with the minigame rework. Which wasn't actually a rework, more like "we can't fix it now, so let's add a spotlight system in which you can get the rewards a lot faster while AFKing".
Yea it is frustrating to say the last, disappointing to see the lack of updates given to clans, i firmly believe its what kept the game thriving through some big changes the game made throughout the years, if more focus was given to clans and community groups then the game would pick up.
After all this is a Massive --Multiplayer-- Online Game
I think i understand what fire hawk means to when he says more content aimed at people not in clans, if we give people a reason to form clans they will do it for example thriving PVP and Minigames and as much as i would love to have tools to help run our clan better first i think as a whole making the changes that will help new clans form and thrive is better for the overall picture.
Its a shame they made dungeoneering more of a solo experience as dungeoneering clans was a thriving thing once upon a time.

I don't think clans should have physical rewards either. Clans should be rewarding by being enjoyable and helpful.
Not everyone joins a clan to go help others, these days people join clans for what they offer e.g. Bossing/Events/Citadel. Players don't just go join for the social aspect alone granted there are clans such as mine which are a social clan but that alone won't attract the PvM player or people who love minigames and the like.
I think I ment beneficial instead of helpful. Like in PvM clans you have a lot of people to PvM with and can help you, in PvP clans you can learn to PK, etc. I don't see "here, have X% extra XP from the avatar" as a good thing. I don't think players should be lured to clans by direct game rewards (XP, GP). Rather it should be more beneficial to skill and kill with other people (clan member or friend shouldn't make a difference).

Content aimed at larger groups would spike clan activity, teamwork and communication. The problem now is that group content is either aimed at high levels with high gear standards (RotS, Raids) or requires no skill nor teamwork whatsoever (Citadel). Of course clans can't thrive in today's game, and clan chat updates won't solve that.
The game has to offer different groups of players something to do. High level players are not just going to camp Bandos all day as that will become really dull really quickly and if nothing is being offered for them then why should they continue playing? Same for questers - whats the point of having quests every few month?
I'm not saying it's wrong that there's different content for different groups, but the groups have become more and more separated. New content suitable for multiple groups would help clans with varying levels. It shouldn't be a waste of time for high level players, but it shouldn't be too hard for mid level players either. With some balancing that could work out.

One could argue that every minigame requires no skill - it's not just the citadel by itself. So what do you consider as teamwork? - As I would argue the citadel and minigames do offer teamwork in their own ways.
I would say there's direct and indirect interaction. Standing at different plots capping doesn't require direct interaction, you just have to look at which resource cap hasn't been filled yet. Most bosses do require direct interaction (players having different roles), just like multiplayer minigames (Clan Wars, GoP). Direct interaction is more stimulating for clans and clanmember to bond.
