I feel like taking away the 'power' to give certain people avatar heurts ranking systems, i'd say people need permission of some kind to get the buff in order to make sure we have somthing to motivate people to be active.
Avatars didn't exist once upon a time and it was fine then I'd imagine?
I mean being an admin in itself should be rewarding and motivating as by default you have things you are able to do. (rank up/down, mute chat etc)
