, I agree with how a lot of stuff isn't well organized >_> For example, the survey???? Is that in-game? Idk but I had to hunt down the link on Twitter. That reminds me, I need to remind my clannies to do the survey but I don't know how to tell them how to access it.
Where is the link? Where on the Runescape website is the link??? Even if you try to find it from the @Runescape Twitter, you have to go through a bunch of tweets
Not to mention, FORUM HELP???????? How the hell are you supposed to find that lol. I even made a thread about it
here
because it's so unintuitive and straight-up difficult to find.
And yeah you're right, the Events & Competitions forum is pretty dead. But I know that Shauny added Pink Skirt events to the in-game clock, where if you hover over the "i" icon next to the clock if there is one, it'll give you the details of the next jmod/pmod event. I don't know about non-pmod events showing up, however, since I haven't paid much attention.

It was/is included on
this thread
along with the embedded live feed of the stream from the Twitch channel.

If we were to get support from Community Management, I really think we need a pinned thread on the CLF because this might be the only forum many Clan Leaders read.
I disagree with having the thread in CLF because only clan leaders can access the CLF, and I've tried inviting clannies to outside events without much success. But I also don't put outside events on our clan noticeboard because that's reserved for internal clan events that also happen to open to non-official clannies.
If we have a centralized clan calendar, then I think it's best we make it public to anyone who might be interested, to do away with clan leaders as middlemen.
I do agree though with automated submissions, for example the ability to fill out a Google form or something that will seed in an event based on the details we provide, or if you meant more automated than that, an API tool that can read certain posts, extract any relevant details based on key words/a template, and seed events based on forum posts on clan threads.
, are you *trying* to disagree with me?
I mentioned using the pre-existing events calendar, then you mentioned a thread for just clans with software obviating manual updates, so I expanded on the possibility of that, and then it feels like you shut down that conversation
I think it's great that Jagex is leveraging social media, but there isn't much consistency across all platforms and I feel like they rely on social media too much, as in the official website should but isn't the primary source of information. But I like it when @Runescape tweets links to forum threads
I don't think there are enough fmods and Community Helpers to cover all the forums that need moderating. Sometimes I see fights on clan threads reported on Forum Help, or people being nasty on some obscure fc thread, which get pretty serious because they're so personal but aren't frequented by people who are already familiar with reporting stuff on FH. Forum Help as such should be accessible by those who actually need it, and even if just to change a thread title instead of having to create another thread, because there aren't enough hours exploring the forums by fmods or people who report stuff on FH. Sometimes you also can't tell whether someone needs something actioned, in the case of title changes.
I know that Clam advertised his event here in the CLF and it got a lot of responses. But it received interest from clan leaders, not clan members. I was expecting to bring maybe 5 people, but non of my clannies showed interest during the days leading up to the event and I wasn't going to push the advertising further, and I don't know how many folks the other leaders were able to bring, or whether all the leaders that expressed interest actually showed up.
, thanks for the link
Not a very intuitive place to find it tbh even if I followed BTS and other dev videos (because I don't), as in if I had to recall where I remembered seeing that link, I'd have trouble re-finding it

, in summary of my above post's ethos, I think that sharing clan events is powerful not just for clan leaders to network with each other, but also for clan members to become more involved in the general clan culture. I also think it's more effective for clan members to hear of events by other clans on their own, than it is to hear about them through people who aren't helping to organize said events (if their own clan leaders aren't helping to organize events by other clans).
