===== Section 74: Regions 1 =====
If the ship is at max speed (or above) for that voyage's speed requirements, you can expect to gain 11.5 miles for every minute the ship travels. Does NOT include ship idle time at port, only when sailing 24/7.

Once you reach a new region, to get max distance traveled, you must do only voyages in that new region.
You get distance from any voyage (excluding story voyages), regardless if you pass or fail it. All previous regions' voyages get their distance cut in half.

=== The Arc ===
- 1st region, tutorial area, can be completed within 3-4 hours, resource: bamboo, takes 5,000 more miles to get to Skull region. Minimum-maximum speed 300-500, from 20 to 33 minutes.

=== The Skull ===
- 2nd region, beginner area, can be completed within 20-32 hours, resource: gunpowder, takes 35,000 more miles to get to Hook region. Minimum-maximum speed 600-1000, from 48 to 80 minutes.

=== The Hook ===
- 3rd region, semi-experienced area, can be completed within 4-6 days, resource: slate, takes 100,000 more miles to get to Scythe region. Minimum-maximum speed 900-1500, from 96 to 160 minutes.

=== The Scythe ===
- 4th region, experienced area, can be completed within 1.5-2 weeks, resource: cherrywood, takes 310,000 more miles to get to Bowl region. Minimum-maximum speed 1200-2000, from 192 to 320 minutes.

=== The Bowl ===
- 5th region, semi-advanced area, can be completed within 2.5-3 weeks, resource: jade, takes 750,000 more miles to get to Pincers region. Minimum-maximum speed 1500-2500, from 384 to 640 minutes.

===== Section 75: Regions 2 ======
Once you reach a new region, to get max distance per time spent/ship traveling, you must only voyages from that new region.
You get full distance from any voyage (excluding story voyages), regardless if you pass or fail it. All previous regions' voyages get their distance cut in half.

=== The Pincers ===
- 6th region, advanced area, can be completed within 3.5-4 weeks, resource: stainless steel, takes 1,100,000 more miles to get to Loop region. Minimum-maximum speed 1875-3125, from 480 to 800 minutes.
- Used to be farthest region until Ports V2 expansion.

=== The Loop ===
- 7th region, semi-elite area, can be completed within 6-7 weeks, resource: terracotta, takes 1,800,000 more miles to get to the final Shield region. Minimum-maximum speed 2325-3875, from 544 to 906 minutes.
- The amount of terracotta per voyage is low (50-275), but more than enough to buy all ship parts, buy 4 TCM, and get 15+ temporary Loop crew.
- The 2nd highest region and has much easier voyage requirements than Shield region.
- Players with level 10 Shield crew can farm the voyages here at 100% success for guaranteed 7 trade goods (use Terracotta Merchant crew on every ship).

=== The Shield ===
- 8th region, final area, can be completed within 6-7 weeks, resource: azure, takes 1,900,000 more miles to reach the maximum distance cap of 6M miles. Minimum-maximum speed 2625-4375, from 640 to 1066 minutes.
- The amount of azure per voyage is decent (120-560), but not as large as Pincers' stainless steel amounts.
- The farthest region in the Wushanko Isles and has voyage requirements up to 40000 in a single stat, 25775 in double stats, or 21375 MCS.

===== Section 79: Recruiting Best Endgame Crew =====
Endgame Crew: 6 MCS, 4 TCM, 3 Exiles
Captains (2100 tier): 2 Morale (4 Leader traits), 1 Combat (4 Tactician traits), 2 Seafaring (4 Seafriend traits)

See Section 9: Captain & Crew Hiscores for pictures of the best.

I had 3 crew ready for recruit on my roster for a long time (waiting for a beta to appear). I had
Mariner Lodgings
built.
- Zhonghu Player (Morale):
Wants to be buried at sea.

Above standard:
+40 Seafaring
from
Eagle-Eyed
trait.
- Gu-Bodyguard (Combat):
Seventh child of a seventh child.

Above standard:
+60 Seafaring
(40 from
Eagle-Eyed
, 20 from personal bonus).
- Stargazer (Seafaring):
Eats only hardtack.

Above standard:
+30 Seafaring
, +10 Morale, +40 Speed (no traits, all personal bonuses).

Using past knowledge and data gathered during the Weapon Diversity Beta (which allows us to import new saves once per hour), I came to the following conclusions:
- Crew personal bonuses have max +70 in a single stat and max +120 total across 4 stats.
- Shield tier captains have personal bonuses that are increments of 20. Max +60 in any single stat.

- Once the crew shows up on roster, its bonuses/traits are set in stone. Switching from Fearless/Swashbuckler/Mariner Lodgings won't change anything - it's too late if they are on your roster for hire.
- Most flavor text (crew examines) are just cosmetic, but there are obvious good and bad ones which affect personal bonuses and traits (but the trait(s) can be negative - RNG).
- Shield tier lodgings have ~33% chance of affecting their specialty stat via personal bonuses and/or stat-specific traits (which CAN be negative).

===== Section 80: Ship Speed & Voyage Time Mechanics =====

- Build Totem of Navigation on Anachronia for 15% voyage time reduction after ship speed is calculated.

For voyages with ship's speed below the minimum speed set for the region and voyage type, the voyage time at minimum speed is used.
- For example, Pincers Region, the speed range is 1875 to 3125 (800 minutes to 480 minutes). If your ship speed is 1875 or less, all your standard Pincers voyages would automatically be 800 minutes (13 hours 20 minutes) in length.

For voyages with ship's speed above the maximum speed set for the region and voyage type, the voyage time at maximum speed is used.
- For example, Loop Region, the speed range is 2325 to 3875 (906 minutes to 544 minutes). If your ship speed is at least 3875 (being higher than 3875 does not have further benefits), then all your standard Loop voyages would automatically be 544 minutes (9 hours 4 minutes) in length.

For ship speeds in between, the time varies smoothly. If the speed is halfway between the min and max speeds, the time will be halfway between the time at min speed and the time at max speed.
- For example, in the Shield Region, the speed range is 2625 to 4375 (1066 minutes to 640 minutes). If your ship speed is exactly 3500, then your standard Shield voyages would be 853 minutes (14 hours 33 minutes) in length.

- Every voyage has its listed time, plus or minus 8 minutes.
- Scroll, trade goods, and unlock item (Tengu Tsuba, Gemstone Kaseki) voyages take 50% more time and the min and max speed limits are 25% higher.
- Never buy speed only crew in Ports, since they are generally useless, and not worth the crew slot. Instead, crew with the Solidarity trait are very useful and gives enough speed bonuses in most cases to reach the maximum speed required for the voyage. Never buy golem crew either, since they are expensive and not worth the cost.
