The Gnome Stronghold is more complex area in relation to clues that I have previously stated.

It is a closed area with 4 possible clues.

Near a big tree surrounded with short people:
- Most of the Stronghold is part of the 'near a big tree surrounded with short people' clue area.
Somewhere in the kingdom of Kandarin:
- Tortoise pen in the north and the south eastern tip of the Stronghold is part of the 'somewhere in the kingdom of Kandarin' clue area. Also there is a row of squares by the fence east of agility arena belonging to the Kandarin area.
Around Ardougne:
- First squares by the south fence of the Stronghold are part of the 'around Ardougne' clue area. This area includes the gate opening to the Stronghold.
- Around Ardougne clue area continues west to the border between 'around Ardougne' and 'north of Ardougne' The border runs 2 squares west from the Outpost buildging.
North of Ardougne:
- There is also 3 squares of 'north of Ardougne' clue area just by the fence east from the statue and west from 2 bences.

There is prove of 'north of Ardougne' clue and 'somewhere in the kingdom of Kandarin' clue on worlds where other penguins were trapped or located in Yanille and Falador farm. Also Gnome Stronghold penguin was found in tortoise pen after the Kandarin clue. (Penguin Locations v35, p. 27).
When Gnome Stronghold penguin was trapped on the squares by the south fence in south eastern tip (world 60 with Port Khazard and Barbarian Outpost penguins in Yanille north wall) the clue given was 'around Ardougne' and the music area is March, wich on the south side of Gnome Stronghold fence is area for 'around Ardgoune' clue.

South of the fishing spots in Gnome Stronghlod, on the music area of 'Gnome Village 2', the clue for a penguin is 'near a big tree surrounded with small people'.
Gnome Village 2 -music area continues north from Tree Spirits -music area untill the level of Eagle Peak / Gnomeball -music division.
The border between Gnome Village 2 and Eagle Peak runs south side of the tree directly south from the path up to Eagle's Peak.
Last square to east of Eagle Peak is 6 squares from the tree.
Gnomeball -music area east of Eagle Peak continues north to Kathy Corkat's row boat, and also the small neck of land at the river north of the boat (2' 15'' west)
The same western longitude marks also the border between Eagle Peak and On the Wing - music areas, wich is also the clue border between the clues 'where eagles fly' and 'somewhere in the kingdom of kandarin'. This border runs across the Falconry 3 squares west from the stile to climb over the fence.
Interesting notion, propably just coinsidence, is that the coordinates to the square west of the border is 2' 16'' west, and the square east of it is 2' 15'' west although usually the difference between squares is 2 minutes.

I forgot to mention, last week (V36 penguies) I was hunting on a different world, and the hunt leader got the clue "near the pointy eared ones". Well, we eventually found the Gnome Maze penguin just north of the Arandar Overpass.

That "near the pointy-eared ones" clue area outside elf lands is very interesting. It is not near or by the Arandar Overpass. I have had penguin trapped just by the gate, north of it and at the ponds and the clue has always been "north of Ardougne".
I was lucky to have a penguin trapped on the Underground pass -music area last week but for my dissapointment I was only getting "around Ardougne" clue. The penguin was on the part where the area is only 1 square wide just by the wall. I was following it alone, so it was not possible to try to trap it on the square or 3 square wide part of the music area.
Although the exact clue area for "near the pointy-eared ones" is still unconfirmed, it is most likely around the northwestern corner of the northern wall of West Ardougne.
