¤¤¤ Scouting Guide I ¤ Post 4.03 ¤¤¤

This comprehensive guide lists the suggested items that any given player should take when scouting a region as well as the suggested route of hunting.

§• Crandor/Karamja
¤ Suggested items:
• Spirit Ghraak
• Amulet of Glory
• Karamja Gloves 3
• Altered House Teletab - Brimhaven

• Route:
1.) Start at Shilo Village mine.
2.) Take cart transport to Brimhaven (or teleport).
3.) Run west to check the Horseshoe Mine; run south to check the Brimhaven Dungeon mine.
4.) Use spirit graahk teleport; run to Nature Altar mine.
5.) Teleport to Karamja; run into and under volcano passage to Crandor mining site (southeast).


§• Desert
¤ Suggested items:
• Water Tiara
• Waterskins
• Amulet of Glory
• Witch’s broom
• Ring of Duelling
• Desert Amulet
• Money

• Route:
1.) Start at AKB.
2.) Teleport to Duel Arena; run to scoreboard.
3.) Run northwest out of the arena to Scorps mine.
4.) Teleport to Bandit Camp by lodestone; run south to Quarry.
5.) Teleport to Nardah.
6.) Run southwest to Vultures mine.
7.) Teleport to Shantay Pass; take a carpet ride to Uzer. Mine is north of carpet landing.


§• Kandarin
¤ Suggested items:
• Ardougne teleport runes
• Ardougne Cloak
• Camelot teletab/runes
• Altered house teletab - Yanille

• Route:
1.) Use Ardougne Cloak; check Monastery.
2.) Run to Port Khazard.
3.) Run/teleport to Yanille.
4.) Teleport to Ardougne; run east to Legends Guild mine.
5.) Teleport to Camelot; run to Coal Trucks area.


§• Piscatoris/Gnome Stronghold/Tirannwn:
¤ Suggested items:
• Elf teleport crystal
• Ring of duelling/Mobilising Armies teleport
• Kyatt familiar

• Route:
1.) Start at Lletya.
2.) Teleport to Mobilising Armies; use spirit tree to Gnome Stronghold.
3.) Use kyatt familiar - teleport to Piscatoris.

§• Fremmenik/Lunar
¤ Suggested items:
• Ring of Wealth (teleport to Miscellania)
• Enchanted Lyre/House Teletabs (Rellekka)
• Food/armor

• Route:
1.) Start at Relleka Mine.
2.) Take boat to Jatiszo. Look across the lake to Neitiznot star spot (only two squares on map make this possible; stand as close to water as possible).
3.) Teleport to Miscellania.
4.) Fairy ring (DKS)/house teletab/Enchanted Lyre teleport. - check Keldagrim spot. 5.) Teleport to Lunar Isle lodestone.


** Asgarnia
¤ Suggested items:
• Clan Vexillum (can teleport player near Crafting Guild, Rimmington, and West Falador locations)
• Skills Necklace (teleport to Mining guild and Crafting Guild)
• Falador teletab/runes

• Route:
1.) Start at Rimmington
2.) Using vexillum or skills necklace, teleport to Crafting Guild and run north to West Falador
3.) Teleport to Mining Guild with skills necklace or to Falador city square with teletab/runes. Run east to guild.


§• Misthalin
¤ Suggested items:
• Varrock teletab/runes.

• Route:
1.) Start at Lumbridge swamp mine.
2.) Teleport to Varrock lodestone. Run west to the Champions' Guild.
3.) Teleport to Varrock (or lodestone). Run to Aubury's shop.
4.) Run east through the gate and south to Varrock southeast mine.


§• Morytania/Mos'Le Harmless
¤ Suggested items:
* Ectophial
• Drakken Medallion
• Kharyll teleport runes

• Route:
1.) Start at Canifis.
2.) Use Drakken Medallion teleport. If you do not have access to it, use the underground passage and run through the woods until you reach the boat.
3.) Use Ectophial to Port Phasmatys. Run to docks - board Bill Teach’s boat to Mos'le Harmless.

¤¤¤ Wilderness Guide ¤ Post 4.05 ¤¤¤

Wilderness stars can be a great source of experience, but with that potential there are risks. After the Evolution of Combat update, the wilderness is not completely safe in any world even with prayers activated. But there are a couple of things you may do to decrease the risk of mining there.

• Wilderness stars are at your own risk!
The most important rule for wild mining is that you shouldn’t bring anything you aren't willing to lose. Dragon pickaxes are not recommended for wild use because you can lose them even with prayers activated. Star Find is not responsible for any items lost while mining in the wild. If you do bring an item, the protect item prayer still works on all non-wild worlds. You may want to bring a couple prayer potions as the smite prayer can hit through this.

• Change to Multi-Way combat only
Before entering the wild, set your combat to Multi-Way only. To do this, go to the abilities book, and under constitution, click on the ability to the right. Most PKers use single-way only.

Suggested items for wilderness stars:

• Super Energy potion:
Used to replenish run energy, good for outrunning PKers.
• Charged Ring of Wealth / Amulet of glory
Used to teleport from level 30 and below wilderness. Teleport tabs and other methods will only go up to level 20.
• Prayer Potions / Renewals
Used to replenish prayer points. Good for protect item or protect from prayers/curses. Smite may also deplete your prayer points.
• Food
Used in case of PKers. May weigh you down and make it harder to run if too much in inventory.
• Armor
While you don’t need to bring expensive armor, something like royal dragonhide can protect you just enough to make a difference between surviving and dying.
• Anti-Dragon Shield
If attacked at a RR star, it can be easy to run into an area with dragons (green and red nearby) to force the PKer away from you.

PVP: If you hunt wilderness stars, you will be subject to PKers, and you are free to defend yourself if you wish. However, if you are a PKer, and you use our list and reports to find people to PK, and you are reported to a rank, you will be permanently banned from Star Find. We do not condone Star Find miners pking each other. That is not the purpose of this fc.

Shilo Gem Mine: Complete Shilo Village (C/K region)
Crandor: Do Dragon Slayer as far as unlocking the wall in the volcano dungeon (C/K region)

Rellekka & Miscellania: Complete Fremmenik Trials (F/L Region)
Jatiszo: Start Fremmenik Isles (F/L Region)
Neitiznot: Complete all bridge repairs at Neitznot for Fremmenik Isles (F/L Region)
Lunar Isle: Complete the boat puzzle part of Lunar Diplomacy (F/L Region)

¤¤¤ F2P Stars ¤ Post 4.07 ¤¤¤

Free-to-play worlds can be scoped from a player-owned house in Rimmington or Taverley with a telescope.

F2P stars are all fairly easy to get to; the only 2 restricted locations are:
1) the Crafting Guild, which requires lvl 40 crafting, and
2) Crandor, which requires access to the island of Crandor from partial completion of Dragon Slayer quest.

There are 19 locations available on F2P worlds:
- Asgarnia (4)
- Misthalin (4)
- Wilderness (7)
- C/K (1)
- North desert (3)

The desert spots are Scorps, AKB, and DA.
The only C/K spot is Crandor.

F2P worlds are:
