Thank you for your unflagging dedication to Penguin Spies. We have depended on you and your team for decades! Well, approaching
two
decades, anyway. Your dedication is awesome.
Every wednesday for the weekly reset, I used to come to your thread to check the pengy locations while also being in the fc & both were always precisely correct!
Keep up the good work & lots of fun, here & anywhere else!

Let's do everything with style!
Well this is my last RS forum post. According to my stats, the 37,446th one. Since Jagex didn't even have the courtesy to tell us when exactly the forums would close (unlike other events) I will say good bye now as likely it will be closed by the time I wake up.
I have filled in all the blanks of the first 8 pages of this thread. I have tried to give a sampling of some of the great posts we have seen over the past 15+ years. Check it out and try the quizzes etc. Page six has our shared history.
There was so much more I could post. There are so many memories. Yes, there were the dramas, (oh boy, the drama!) but I’d rather focus on the creativity and the fun we had here as that was primarily what was posted and will be remembered.
The forums will actually continue in a way. Mexk has decided to archive the entire forums and put it on a website, so you can still visit it. More information here:
We have our own subreddit, for the past 7 years. You do not need a reddit account or to login, you can view the location threads there. To interact you would need to login.
The subreddit will be open to all to post penguin things and locations.
In these last few hours as we wait for the posting to be removed I thought up this little poem. It started off with the tune of Auld Lang Syne in mind but turned into something else as I went. I'm not sure what to call it perhaps "Farewell to Forums"
Should old forum posts be lost
and be buried off to die?
Should songs and jokes be forgot
without a chuckle or a *sigh*?
May the bonds we've made forever stay
long after after the threads have past away.
We've laughed and cried
and split our sides
Through think and thin these forums have always been
the place where we reside.
And as the hour draws near we shed final tears
To the RuneScape Forums we say "Goodbye"
