First, please scale the mobs and resources with the number of participants. It is seriously disappointing for the thing to be over before you can contribute enough to get rewards. At the moment a bit of lag is pretty much guaranteed to exclude you.

Second, on a related note, prioritize drawing mobs over drawing other players and their combat animations when you are opted out of PvP. I wish to see the monsters I need to click, not someone else's soul split healing animations.

IMO its a terrible attempt to bring life back into a DEAD place. It should not be made part of any Quest. With PVP switched off it SUCKS

The Wilderness Flash event and the Miniquests are two different updates.

PvP is automatically switched off unless you have switched it on manually.

is a six month long concert of updates and its not wrong to identify them as meant to work together. we did read wiki and the news on main page.

the OP has a good point that we could gain something from hiding other players with a toggle, but it does defeat the hope developers had that we would enjoy playing with each other, and new players, as with the clawdia event. I'm interested in continued discussion to that end. Maybe someone has even better tenable option idea.
I have quit rsof because moderator found comments about darklight bonus damage on demons "off topic" for wildy flash mobs full of demons

Events aren't going to last forever. Of course like all the other events such as DXP, Leagues, DMM, this one will be "dead" content when the event period ends.

However, most players are just interested in the rewards and fun now when the event is in progress.

The RS3 team has looked at many other games like Guild Wars 2 on how to turn this kind of random events into their game system, and has already the tools developed for such system. So let's see what kind of exciting new content this Wildy Flash Events exercise will bring to the RS3 system (00:13:00):
