Im sure the above poster would also just love it if thy made it so followers blocked out other players view again. Again , just what positive player enjoyment does everyone else being able to see YOUR spell animations block out THEIR ability to play the game? If there is a minimum amount of damage that must be done to finish the event then why isnt there a maximum amount of damage allowed? HOORAY for ME and to HE77 with YOU ?

But actually after telling other players about the situation before the event starts some of them actually stop attacking and move away after they do enough damage.

Back on Classic people actually helped each other.... even in the wildy.

Don't tell us back on Classic we hid animations and people. Actually back on RS2 we had far more bots... ahem... players and far more animations, but nothing were hidden because no such thing is needed. The game engine also brough the "attack" mob option above everything regardless how many players and animations are stacked up.

Now it seems like lots of players are getting contribution on skilling events and then going idle. Those events have extra requirements for each player to finish the event, they are not being helpful in holding back compared to combat events, which need restraint.

You got it wrong perhaps. Those players are just stepping back, letting lower level players get their personal requirement, Remember, nobody will get any reward if they don't successfully complete the group objective.

This holds for non-combat events too. Plenty of helpful players are not turning in what they collected until the last 15% of the goal, so the others can continue to collect and everybody will get their personal requirement fulfilled. This is the kind of sincere and helpful spirit we got from RS3's Shooting Stars.

Well, surrounding players also got it wrong. Specifically this was the evil tree event and idle players responded that they don't like collecting orbs. Nobody came late, if that was a consideration.

Were you on Legacy Worlds? Evil Bloodwood Tree is the easiest and most engaged Flash Event. I went to every one of them when I was online. It never failed.

It is also the most rewarding special event. I don't see why nobody want to do phase 3 of it and forfeit the biggest prize of all all Flash Events to begin with, and then even half the players there do phase 3 it will still be completed.

No one wanted to forfeit, and it was on a normal world. It's not a combat event anyways. People literally replied that they don't like collecting orbs.

Neither do I. Someone has to do it. We weren't going to lose but it was more effort for everyone else.

What's the problem? The "effort" is minimal and we get xp for the "effort" too.

If they don't like collecting orbs, they better don't go to Special Flash Events that are the only way they can get the max cash Dark Onyx Core.

I haven't gotten a Core yet, but I found a Decimation. It is still very worthwhile.

Don't see the complaints anywhere except in the RSOF though. If they aren't happy in the game, they won't go there. It is just that simple.

Perhaps those who go the Evil Bloodwood Tree and stand there are still happy to see the others getting max cash Dark Onyx Core and share their joy. It is still very cool!
