I'm mostly happy that they're trying to revamp the wilderness after so many years, but I feel like the events could last a bit longer; if you miss the hour mark by 2 minutes, it's often over already.

If it's not made any longer, 30 minutes mark for events could do instead.
Combat level: 15.

So you want to sit in the wilderness for 30 mins every time to get your rewards? Odd.
Be the change you would like to see in the world.

why hasn't players hopping worlds to lower pop worlds to steal lower pop worlds flash events from people already in those worlds been fixed yet? I don't want to be doing a chill event in my homeworld and suddenly 500+ people login and start lagging up the place and stealing the event.

OP here. Meanwhile, I have done a fair few of these events and find them more doable than when I made the original post. However, improvements are still necessary. I will start by listing the improvements I would like to see and then proceed to a few tips for others who find these challenging.

Halve a player's damage every goal of damage - 100 % damage before making your personal goal, 50 % until you get 2 x your personal goal in, 25 % until you get 3 x your personal goal in. Rationale: encourage continued participation while allowing less skilled players to get a chance at the rewards .

Replace the continuously re-spawning mobs with a set number of monsters with scaled lifepoints . Rationale: target cycling should not be a requirement for successful completion of the combat events .

Adjust the event schedule - separate the specials by a fixed number of general events (4 general events would be the obvious choice, so every fifth event would be a special) and stagger the schedule on different worlds: KBD on world 0, infernal star on world 1, evil tree on world 2 (all worlds modulo 3). To prevent taking advantage of different completion times, permit participating in only a single event per scheduled time slot. Give three normal bags of loot and one special one for every special event. The risk is slightly bigger for KBD (I have been dragged away by my legendary pet once) and infernal star, so it would not be unjustified. Rationale: enable participation in all the different events in a reasonable amount of time .

Now, tips : keybind target cycling, carry the infernal puzzle box, and arrive with full adrenaline. T90s allow you to easily get twice to thrice the damage goal without further boosts if you manually use cheap AoE abilities (includes Corruption Shot for ranging without chins).

Many are hopping worlds but more aren't for many reasons.

First, some events are easier to complete with more players. For instance, I have seen events easily completed in populated worlds with 30 players failed in Legacy worlds with only like 5.

The other thing is about the MMO feeling. Players come to an MMO game for its massively multiplayer entertainment. I don't doubt plenty of players will rather win or lose an event with a massive number of players helping out each other instead of keeping "winning" the same old, same old thing alone,

Oh! We can't buy the good feeling of seeing massive number of players of the like mind helping out each other the traditional MMORPG way, even if we don't always get 100% success rate.

Birds of the same feather flock together, in RS3 the MMORPG! :)

For some reason my feeble brain cannot comprehend why I have to see everyone else's animations. Give us an option to turn off viewing what other players do. By all means allow us to see other players. Also for some reason I simply cant get keybinding targeting to work. If I could actually see the targets I probably wouldn't need to be able to use targeting.I could just click on them . Maybe Jagex could introduce a feature where we just log in click a button, walk away, and the game just plays itself. Of course we would have to pay extra to use this feature. Maybe even if we pay enough extra we could get a feature where we click a button and black out everyone else's screen totally. HOORAY for ME and the HE77 with YOU.

totally agree the amount of animations makes it impossible to see the targets blindly scrolling to find one through the mess is near impossible lol needs to def be fixed


You can just swipe your mouse across the battle ground. When there is a mob you can attack, you will see the attack mob option even if you don't see the mob itself. Animations don't mean a thing as you can't mouse over them.

The good thing is attackable mobs show up above the non-attackable players, regardless how many players are stacked up there.
