There will be less on the ones that don't drop the new equipment upgrade, yes. But the others, like kbd, will be full as long as that rare drop has value.

I have no trouble killing the monsters on my own, it's that the entire group is shared for all participants and everyone with PVM gear and abilities is using AOE abilities that kill everything before anyone else can land more than 2 or 3 attacks. That's why I'm saying this needs changed, because I'm more than capable of doing that much damage in the timeframe given, but a lot of people like myself don't even have a chance because a handful of others obliterate everything in a few seconds. That's not how minigames or DNDs should work for earning achievements, especially when the issue is present even on very low population worlds.

No way can't you see and attack KBD. He is so big. You are maxed. Don't tell us you can't deal 70k damage in 5 minutes.

Yeah they are kind of garbage. end in one minute and dont count towards completionist half the time.

Not sure why this trash is a comp requirement, oh well. Just another annoyance rather than a fun new gameplay mechanic.

Dilbert, have you read one single word I've typed, or are you just purposely being a troll? I have said on multiple occasions that most people can't get 70k damage before the event is over because the people using expensive AOEs are killing everything BEFORE we can do so. We have to somehow out-DPS those people in order to get 70k damage before the event ends. It's not endless monsters for 5 minutes and all we have to do is get 70k damage, it's a set amount of monsters and they all die from the people with PVM gear before any of the rest of us can kill them. It's like there's 2.5 million total damage and 5 people take 2 million of it, leaving the other 30 of us to try and get 70k of the remaining 500k.

THAT'S the problem.

I'm not going to name any names but You should know that there are a handful of users on this forum who have made tens of thousands of posts with the sole purpose of praising and defending Jagex at every possible turn.

No matter what your criticism
No matter what jagex does, they will always defend them.

They cannot be reasoned with, They will make arguments that are illogical, or irrational they don't care.

I'm not sure if they are paid to do it, or if they are just crazy Jagex sycophants....

either way, it's a waste of time.

What good does 24,099 forum posts do if you know nothing about how the game works?

Sad when people will be so ignorant that they defend something so obviously flawed, especially when they clearly understand nothing about it...

I'm having a great time with this update!

That being said, the combat events are very difficult to receive compensation for at the moment because there simply isn't enough time of spawns to allow those of us who aren't trying to reach the DPS threshold in like....half a minute. It's further complicated by the fact that some of these mobs are difficult to see.

I don't know if that's Jagex's lack of foresight in this instance though - It very well could be that at this time there are too many players to enjoy the weaker combat events.

totally absent from the very public ed4 ranks. they can't hide their absence from those scores.

he cant do his 70k because I am doing 500k. its my fault. I dont know how to stop either because near the point I want to back off... I can't. the ambush mobs get in there, and Im trying to help clear them, but... the aoe keeps climbing on kbd or spiders or whatever.

its a scaling error. its a bug. its new stuff that doesnt work. the scaling at ed4 DOES work, so idk how they got it wrong for flash mobs.

I have to ask if damage sharing is possible.

like cap at 70k dmg, and I cant leave, but... my damage after that too much, right? if I do 500k and feel bad, but can't stop...

is it possible my dmg could go to pool shared equally among all present players?

its kinda already in game, I remember, many times, like 2-3 guys in lootshare/coinshare would try to crash my boss before instances... and the drop wasnt theirs, cause I did more damage than them combined, so theyd leave.

that means there is a them/combined counter already, right?

I see potential for mischief, boosting abuses, etc, and Im glad Im not the coder, but... I have to ask.

A friend told me he did 210k damage at one of the combat events. The very best I've managed is 19k. I can't even see the npcs I'm meant to be attacking due to the animations of the powerful aoe abilities. I've given up trying to do the combat events, they're a waste of my time.
