doesnt help your blind to what to do then before you know it the event would be dead and keep ending in failures which puts more pressure to pass it now knowing it will become dead content eventually

Events aren't going to last forever. Of course like all the other events such as DXP, Leagues, DMM, this one will be "dead" content when the event period ends.

However, most players are just interested in the rewards and fun now when the event is in progress.
or getting comp/comp(t) back

lets see what happens next week once everyone has their comp capes back

Only Jagex can tell now, but we can all guess... and my guess based on past events is Wildy Flash Event will become a permanent D&D, perhaps the rewards will be different.

More info on this:

The RS3 team has looked at many other games like Guild Wars 2 on how to turn this kind of random events into their game system, and has already the tools developed for such system. So let's see what kind of exciting new content this Wildy Flash Events exercise will bring to the RS3 system (00:13:00):

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1627676008
they also spent a long time with the osrs team learning how they run deadman mode then came up with rs3's version dimensions of the damned..... need i say more

What? Dimensions of the Damned is totally different than DMM. Besides, they don't come from the system and tools they talked about doing RANDOM encounters that the RS3 team is talking about. They are talking about putting random event into the permanent game system, not events like DMM or Dimension of the Damned.

This Wildy Flash Events is an one-off event, but what they are talking about is the Chain Event System they have. Think like how Dream of Iaia and Memory of Nomad come into permanent existent after their respective one-off quests they originated from.

and dreams of iaia had a grace period which they should of done for this event or at the very least done some kind of early bird thing so compers could get their achievement sooner without having to rearrange their real life for a time set event

maybe they should learn from this one then and add an early bird or grace period so those who have busy lives outside of runescape havent got their comp capes they spent months, even years earning held hostage by an event that can only be done at the time they are in a meeting with their boss

Again, nobody sad this is an event that can be done at the time. They are talking about a system when we can get Comp requirement even after this event ends.

How does a grace period help new players who haven't even started playing Jagex's games now? They are talking about a Chain Event System that we can still be very beneficial with in the next 20 years.

grace period gives time for those that have already got the achievement to earn the next achievement before losing their capes in X amount of time its not for new people who are still working on the achievement and haven't worn it yet therefore they haven't lost what they have yet to gain

Again, why only grace period for something which requires only a small efforts but no grace periods for other capes like Quests or OSRS's Music Cape that may require far more time to prepare, let alone re-complete?
