So reddit is talking about this option? Which side has the larger popular interest?

Support or nonsupport?

If it's anything like it is here, where there's countless supports vs one person who refuses to support... then it should happen. Get over yourself draco, the toggle doesn't change anything about you or your anti-choice selfish-isms. An instanced world void of cosmetics would not affect you.

After all, you like to use the argument that it's our choice to move into areas known to have them.. well if given the choice as people are requesting here, it would be their new choice to use the instanced area. And what's wrong with that?

It's going to be your choice to go where people will see it. Right? Why do you get to decide what our choice would be?

No, the reason they want that choice is because they were never given one in the first place.

Everybody here has had their share of annoyances caused by people like you, who only buy things to show off in obnoxious ways.

You haven't ever presented an argument as to why it's better for people to not have a choice. People want to lag less because the massive pixelation of yours and anybody else around leaves a constantly running large animation on their screen. But it's their fault because they are using something else where you are. Nope. Anti lag is a more valid reason.

People don't like the visuals but that's their problem because Jagex only decided to make the item so you could force it into our views? Nope. You have your preference and we have ours, you aren't special.

People shouldn't be able to hide something cosmetic unless you can also hide players? Fuck it, I'm fine with ignored players and their extensions being entirely hidden from view. I'm not interested in anything about the players that make it to my ignore list anyway. Let's do it.

Yesterday I came across the invention of certain startup company. Something like a sunglasses, "visually blocking contents from LCD / LED screens" on the streets, which mainly run ads of course. According to someones logic from my thread, the advertisers should now want their money back or should they want to invest less in such form of ads? Or maybe there is just something wrong in the stated logic.

As for the invention itself, it seems to be a great idea. It gives people a possibility of choice.
Everything, ranging from sub-atomic particles to galaxy clusters, has its dynamics predefined. And then there are people claiming that systems like economy, society or other human sub-systems are in our hands.

There's always going to be pets that due to their movements and/or size cause distraction or make your gameplay a little more difficult to do, but should we have a toggle for everything? The issue of drakes actually causing problems for you and not just being annoying in your eyes because you simply don't like the sight of flying drakes, is rare, in those very few cases we can simply hop. Feel free to take a look at my suggestions: 200m xp prestige

I'm not saying, neither requesting a toggle for everything individually, but who ever needs to see class of legendary cosmetic pets. Those could be completely filtered out with no negative consequences at all.
