I support the OP.
Let's see if I'm understanding the debate. Giving players the option to toggle off seeing other players' large pets (specifically flying drakes) is unacceptable because:
1. Drake owners paid for the legendary pet and some want to be able to show them off in all their flapping glory, without regard to the impact the drakes have on others.
Counter Argument: Players who are annoyed by them pay a subscription, too. Customer dissatisfaction should be of concern for Jagex for both the ones who enjoy the drakes AND those who do not.
A possible solution is to give players a choice of whether they see the drakes (and possibly other large, intrusive animations) by adding an interface toggle. BUT...
2. Giving players the option to toggle off certain animations is bad because it will CLUTTER UP THE INTERFACE.
But they have no issue with the SCREEN CLUTTER, lag and diminished enjoyment the drakes create.
3. The players who say they feel ill from the drake motion are mistaken and aren't really affected by it at all.
Thanks for the medical evaluation, doctors (sarcasm). The affect the repetitive motion has does (in fact) make some people feel ill.
I hope those players who have been adversely affected will continue to raise their concern until an official Jagex response is given.
