They might not complain about them now, but if a toggle like this was made, they might afterwards, since people always find something to complain about. The difference in each case is whether something should be done about it or not, and since the drakes and other pets can easily be ignored, either by clicking through them or switching world/location if you really don't want to see them, there's no need to make a bigger mess of the game's settings by adding another unnecessary toggle.

Can you kindly explain why we are forced to move out of what we are doing when a simpler option that doesn't affect you and doesn't force anybody to do anything would be better?

Quite frankly, Whatusaytome, given that you've been a part of this discussion for such a long time now, you should already know the reasons why some don't support the toggle, at least if you've read the posts by the people not supporting the toggle. Just because you don't like the reasons, doesn't mean they don't exist.

Nobody is forced to move out from anything because of some people's pets; they can be clicked through, you can zoom out your camera if you feel like you're too close that the screen is too filled up, and if you're lagging, you'd be lagging anyway, pets or no pets, because it's the players simply being there that really causes lag (and servers being unable to handle too many players causes its own lag).

And like was told before, if you start adding more and more toggles, slowly but surely the UI is gonna become more and more cluttered with unnecessary options, which both damages the UX when the users are searching for the options they actually want by making it more time-consuming, as well as making it increasingly harder to reproduce and fix certain bugs that are related only to certain setting combinations, because there'll be more combinations to go through.

Clicking through them doesn't make it any less annoying that they visually obstruct our views.

Lag has been known to be caused by processors not catching up with animations. My shitty CPU lags when a person does the massive Tuska Storm teleport. This is a player issue, not Jagex. Minimum detail on legacy And NXT clients are still easily Lag-prone, and any thing a person does in their settings, like removing shadows, can reduce lag for that player. Any visual disturbance can cause lag based on the player's specs.

You can't simply tell people to upgrade their computer, but an option to remove the disturbance is just as viable. I'd like you to not think the only thing that causes lag is players around you.

And zooming out is great, if your computer has a decently high resolution, so you may zoom out further and make things actually small. Not everyone can do this.

If you can't learn where a toggle is, that's your own inability. And I encourage you to suggest a way to simplify finding them if you honestly struggle. Perhaps suggest better locations or labels for them. Like I said, I personally think the more options for personalization the better.

You may think it's too risky and might break something, but they've done much more difficult things and fixed thousands of major and minor breaks caused by updates. And I love how vague your concern about the break is. You can't explain what would break, or why, only that you assume Jagex will make a mistake.

Wow, so its my fault that jagex chose to make the setting interface the way it is?

Last i checked players didnt have any control over how it wouldve ended up.

Most likely because nobody actually thinks there's anything wrong with the options and settings. And you guys are using it as an excuse to disagree with the suggestion.

If you actually wanted to complain about the settings, why haven't you suggested any fix for them? Why hasn't anybody else?

Fixed it for you Draco:

Not needed as it'll only hurt legit players trolls and its easy to ignore click through them since they'll no longer be able to block others' view of relevant areas of the screen with their oversized pet.

Actually, I do see issues with putting in a toggle, as it would be nightmareish to attempt to maintaign.

And personally, I have given what I think is a better option, both for the developers, and the players, on page 2 of this very thread.

Just create a no cosmetic world. All legendary pets would be disabled here as well.

There. Problem solved. And without intricate toggle systems which only complicate the codebase.

You are asking them to create the same effect as this toggle on a massive scale for one world. And asking them to dedicate an entire world to hiding everything, which is more than just pets.

I see this as a far more difficult thing to maintain, and would hide more than most of these people want hidden.

No support. Toggle is simpler and is personalization per each individual player as they choose, in the worlds they choose.
