Really enjoying necro, favourite combat skill.

One thing I think would by a nice QoL update is to have souls rarely earned through combat while a lantern is equipped (something really small 0.25-0.5% chance) to help with the soul grind for those who prefer to focus combat over rituals.

This way eventually over a long time you would be able to complete the talent tree through combat while not detracting from the rituals as being by far the most effective method. Lore/earn message wise to stay in line with the asking nicely thing could be something like "As you condemn x creatures soul to the afterlife, you feel bad, apologise and ask it to join your fight. It accepts your apology and joins your team" (Something less wordy but that general gist).

Also boat racing/activities on the lake, upgradable row boats...can add things to go faster like sails... ;)

It would be good to have multiple Ritual and Focus Storage chests dotted around...
in particular a couple near
Kili
would be useful.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Can souls be added to the well via combat?
If not, why not and can we please?
Killing something seems like a logical way to generate a soul.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

2 extra rituals would have been nice, 1 that gives more xp with a high input but no other output, and 1 that gives low xp but extra Ectoplasm and nothing else.

An upgraded rune pouch is also needed to hold them 5 items. Sooner rather than later and not a reward from a crazy hard boss.

I'm not convinced that the shambling horror needs any adjustment other than notifications of his arrival. If there is a sound I haven't heard it.

Now that I can actually see him, there is plenty of time to check 5 squares. You get a hint because he moves towards it every time. I have only seen the sparkly thing like 5 times. To me that is a bonus, making it easier.

Otherwise you are relying on a bit of skill and luck. But it is definitely something that can be done if you see it in time. The other part of it, this gives double the xp as a ghost or sparkly rune.

Seems to me that was meant to account for the possibility of failure, and to reward the skill/luck portion.

When I see the horror, the only time I fail is due to mis-clicks. Just like at Big Game Hunter, that is something that can be overcome with practice.

They could put a giant smoke plume on the correct spot but that's too easy. Just a 2 step sparkling glyph.

The ritual site NPC Malignius Mortifer could use a slight relocation. It never fails, I run towards the chest and when I click it he is suddenly in the way.

This is the same exact thing that happens with the 400 ft tall Oak tree in Woodcutter's Groove. I run towards the Elder Tree and when I am position to click it, I get Oak City. In this case I am talking to an NPC who is only there because he was in the game already. O_o

An old problem that could be addressed here. The XP popup system. It has 2 parts. One is overhead XP drops. I want that. The other is a progress indicator that interferes with the ritual bar. Specifically, the countdown number is right behind it.

This happens with some other content as well. The only way to remove the progress marker while still having the overhead XP drops is to gain max level. That's a fine reward, and I got all 120's mostly for that reason.

But it would be awesome if those features could be separated.

"Quests
- that old black magic quest could be updated slightly rather then saying it has a requirement of 32, but then realising after you started it you need 65 to finish it, why not just mark it as a level 65 quest. Would also be handy id you made the drumstick drop a 1 in 5 saves killing the warlord boss 50+ times in the middle of a quest"

I agree totally! it's ridiculous to put the start of a quest at such a low level when you have to have a much higher one to finish it.
At the very least, there should be a small reward for completing that first part.

Not strictly necromancy feedback as I find this to be an issue literally everwhere, but incredibly annoying while doing rituals. Can we please be allowed to hide this dialog from appearing on screen or given an option to move it. Rly gets in the way at so many places...
