But what has comp cape done to the game? The stats make it a bit easier to kill things but if someone is not that good at pvm, they are not that good at pvm.

Well, for one thing, due to its supreme stats, people 'go for' the cape, actively trying to obtain it. The idea behind it, however, is that you simply earn it 'as you go along' while playing the game and eventually 'completing everything', at your leisure so to speak. But the active comp cape hunters create many problems; several activities are ruined, e.g. Castle Wars and Mobilising Armies, which these people afk or boost due to the higher (trimmed) comp cape requirements. Moreover, new content often creates new requirements, which leads to complaints and pointless back-and-forth discussions, and also prevents the developers from doing certain stuff they might like to do without having to thikn about the consequences for the cape. E.g. achievements can be made arbitrarily hard because they're just for fun, but other morsels of content cannot be due to the completionists. That kind of stuff.

If it's any consolation, the rework won't happen for a good while if ever, although it really should.

@Hiscores: decent idea, but that's for the web team, not the ninjas.

So your saying that Castle Wars was ruined because of Comp Capers and you actually expect them to play it manually over afking it? Sorry but that's like telling my kitten to stop ripping the fly screen (Which she doesnt!!)

To be honest - they should remove that profound requirement from the trimmed cape and simply add 5 achievements for each cape to be unlocked in the minigame section instead. The same thing of course with every minigame requirement that isn't anything to be completed or actually unlocking something: That also would cover stuff like the 1250 conquest rating - it fits more as an achievement than an actual cape requirement Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

Comp capers (but given the requirement, I can't blame them for afk'ing to be frank) and thaler leechers, yeah. I'm barely expecting them to play normally anymore. :/

I've written up a more detailed suggestion for a comp cape rework in the same place where my achievement suggestions are, if you're interested. :)

Maybe something small-ish for today:

Challenge gems (tradeable MTX items, which also are occassionally given out at events like the beach) award a set of 7 titles, which are gained by participating, winning or losing a set amount of challenges. I would suggest incorporating the dwarven challenge barrels in this pool as well.

As in, allow dwarven challenge barrels, whatever they be, to rewars the titles as well?

Exactly this - I see both as relatively comparable items used for smaller competitions between players, the gem for who makes most experience in a certain span of time, the barrel for who is able to dish out most damage

Add the dung outfit to the dung reward shop. Not sure how many tokens it should be yet.

Elite outfits will always be available via skilling and invention at one point - so why should dungeoneering be an exception to that?

Oh, personally I'm not inclined to have all elite outfits available from Invention only. But I suppose it's a decent enough idea, if fragments are available from other sources than just random time-based experience reception. E.g. if an elite farming outfit exists, Vinesweeper should definitely reward fragments. Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

I think the best way would be doing something like it was done with the camouflage outfits and shifting tombs: A fitting minigame (or why not simply all fitting minigames) could award fragments at the double rate compared to normal skilling, but I do not think finished pieces should directly come from the regular activity without any assistance (assembling the fragments via invention) - especially considering the power of those sets Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
