Necromancy solely ruined RS3. I didn't care about the mtx or the hero pass at all but messing with the core of the game is too much. EOC took the three combat styles and enhanced them but didn't change the fundamentals. Prayer/Summoning/Arch etc enhance the combat triangle but didn't change it. I would recommend deleting necromancy and everything related to it but that won't happen. Simplicity is what always made this game great and its just never going to be that way after adding necromancy.

Necromancy is great, and absolutely needed for older games like RS3 to survive in its modern and next generation format.

Necromancy brings the embryo of vastly recognized CLASS concept in the video game industry into RS3, paving the way for new modern players to discover this 22 years old gem, especially when the Jagex Launcher platform opens up Jagex's door to all kinds of new modern players in the next week.

Necromancy also brings great new changes to the other 3 combat styles, and a lot of players are having fun trying them out in the Combat Beta.

"more people enjoying endgame pvm" is to "more people enjoying the game" as "you don't do bossing?" is to "you don't do combat".

It's probably great for people who always yearned to boss and now feel they can.

For those who aren't interested in endgame pvm? oh wait...

And what exactly has changed for those? Don't like necro? Don't use it. It's not like they will start to introduce enemies you only could fight with necromancy left and right.

And when it comes to the other styles - getting rid of obscure concepts like a damage cap, you just hit way too often at some point or one of the worst accuracy systems ever seen in a game isn't a bad thing, even if it doesn't feel 'runescapey' to you anymore. Likewise improving tooltips to something more comprehensible.

Not to talk about the general combat fixes they already did - like that entirely unintuitive interaction of damage modifiers with one another or other jank, that's just like it is, because it was implemented that way two decades ago. Boosted levels more valuable than baseline ones? Jep, was rolled back for the other styles, since it ended up being a nerf for them - but is bullshit like that 'simplicity' to you? I mean if you just do not bother understanding the game - sure. But then I do not really get your issue with another component to the mix.

I don't think it killed the game; I like the style.
What I don't like is the forced tie to bossing, as if no one will learn or use the style without participating in ultimate combat.
I don't play for adrenaline, and it would be very nice if, having levelled the skill through ritual and combat, and then having earned the levels to make the resources to advance the gear, being prevented from doing that UNLESS I boss. So, earning it three times is the charm, starting at 70?
Right.
I'll take my time, because it simply isn't worth it to me.
I'm using necro for my slayer tasks to learn the skill, and it has made me more facile with adjusting my ability bar, and that's cool.
I've just lost interest in hurrying, because it left a bad taste in my mouth to gatekeep it with something I have never had an interest in.

what willl get many mad is when they start to realise they need the skill of dungeoneering (nadir sega and andother sega after that. i have spent stupid hours looking for a damaged item and of course checked with skuldrun npc to see if i had the item already. so what it is a lotto?
i dont like dungeoneering at all. not many do, to include the stupidest skill in the newest skill is dumb.

the necro skill and has what 2 armor sets total the one you upgrade and the first necro suit, wow 2 armors total how intence is that. get with the program and imagine more armors with dif stats.

yeah i doubt ill remain interested for much more, just got back and already looking forward to quitting. i got my goal i came back for and in truth i have had such bad luck in this game and feel the nerfing of various skills like melee to be unbalance.

yeah. not interested in this. i can see that now.
