i understand the want to return/start new players at lumbridge but sadly jagex abandoned that long ago. opting to start new players up in tav and burthorpe.

this is well done overall though thank you for posting it. maybe jagex can pull some info from it to help improve their system. pssst....we know who you are. Hail Sithis!

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. I certainly do hope the developers gain some useful insight from this thread. As of the most recent version of the Burthorpe tutorial circa 2020-ish, I suspect that the retention of new players hasn’t improved much on the whole. While new account numbers probably spiked during FSW, I consider it too early to classify those players as having been “retained”. With FSW now over and the game’s recent pivot toward a classic medieval direction, I’m hoping that the early game experience will once again start to climb up the priority list.
