It is possible to bring Construction out of the PoH

- Menaphos using Sandstone/Grantite to fix things (they are historically construction materials)

- Work Benches in areas to build special flatpacks (take a page from bonfires and artisan workshop pre M/S update)

- Dockyards to work on repairing ships

Hidey holes are also a thing, but it's not like anyone uses those to begin with.

Still, construction needs way more applications outside of the PoH. You should be able to train construction without constantly building into rooms you don't even want.

Posted this elsewhere too;

Just like how Archeology fit in perfectly well with everything by introducing relics, construction can have something similar that makes other tedious tasks more convenient and less tedious.

Think of it as if you're "upgrading" buildings / constructions to boost your gameplay. To name a few ideas;

- Player Owned Farms could have more high level construction buildings to maximize xp gains for farming.
- Build or restore ancient totems / pillars in hotspots for a temporary boost within the area of the totem / pillar; totem near a slayer creature could give you faster adrenaline gain. Pillar in the fishing hub gives you faster fish catch rate, totem near farming patches could give you more herbs / crops. These totem should have an upkeep otherwise they would degrade after a certain amount of use.
- Player owned ports could have an additional building that requires high-level construction to maximize your voyages gain or speed
- Player owned houses could have furniture that aid other skills aside from the guilded altar. Think of growing special (tree)patches in your garden. Think of brewing a special potion from your own well. Think of fletching arrows with some sort of effect applied to them (poisonous arrows, slowness arrows, stun arrows, etc) because you built this fancy fletcher in your house. The constructions could require secondary items that are worth grinding / buying for to make people sweat for these constructions. Unique constructions that give you unique items and this would promote house parties again.

These "Upgrades" could come in stages (level 1, 2, 3 upgrades). Also all of these upgrades should have some sort of upkeep to keep the economy flowing and keep you constructing.

I know about Hidey Holes. There are a number of other 1-off Construction Things (excluding quests)
- PoF Storm Barn
- Rope Racks
- Certain agility short cut hidey holes
- Menaphos and Anachronia cactus patches

Ofc, someone would rattle off:
- God Statues
- Warbands
- Shifting Tombs (I'm not sure what the xp/hr rate is, but it would be click heavy)
- Long and Curved Bones

Just had a thought, is there a chance that Dungeoneering could be introduced to POH Dungeons?

I'll think the other way. Dungeoneering is a full scale skill now which we can get xp and rewards of it from all over the Gielinor maps, but Construction remains just an instanced minigame with the same old tedious and boring making/destructing furniture ways of training.

I'll rather think there is a better chance for Construction being introduced to Daemonheim Dungeon and Sinkholes.

There could be temporary constructions for storing skilling materials as well, but that's fast going out of date with things like ore boxes existing in the inventory.
Definitely more of an OSRS fix at this point where it wouldn't already be obsolete, but think like being able to construct a fish barrel at a fishing spot that holds up to X amount of fish before being sent to your bank and you need to construct a new one.

Isn't it better just to get a permanent Tackle Box?

We also have Grace of the Elves and signs of the porters to do a similar and more convenient trick too.

We also have fishing urns if we want more xp but no fish.

That's why I'm saying it's probably obsolete in RS3 already since Jagex already implemented other mechanics that gave construction an opportunity to be valid.

There's a lot of instances as well where crafting has stolen potential content from construction, such as pyre ships.

It only shows Construction is obsolete rather, as Jmods keep finding much better skills and activities to put their best ideas into.

IMO, either they totally ignore a Construction rework, or they will need to find really good new ways to implement it outside the POH, for instance, community construction like how we build the Varrock barge and the Christmas Cracker.
