What I wouldn't mind is the ability to move around rooms as you please with no restrictions and being able to build them without a need for it to be connected to another room/garden.
As well as moving the furniture within a room. A failsafe of some sorts that prevents blocking a door with a bookcase or something, perhaps? But then again, it'd be easily repairable if someone -does- blocks their door and... well, it's our house so we're free to block whatever door we want. Also, allow us to choose how many doors a room has (keeping it a minimum of 1, of course).
And keeping with the above, rather than hotspots, there could be a new tab (that replaces either SoF/Solomon or the EoC tutorial (seriously, that tab is useless once you've done the tutorial)) where there could be a series of icons to select the room we're building for, then open up another series of icons for the furniture and then a third series of icons for the specific type of furniture. (something like a miniature flatpack menu, but more organized) Select what you want to build and then click where it'd be positioned.
This is mainly because if allowed to move items as we wish, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to have hotspots present.
As well as an "Upgrade" option for most, if not all, items so that items such as gold leaves aren't lost when wanting to switch to something of a higher level.
As for specific rooms, some other suggested an Armour room where you'd be able to put different sets on a stand. I'd like to be able to imbue the suit of amour with Magic and be able to fight it. Perhaps it could be an ability learned from Shanomi in the Warrior's Guild for a certain fee of points earned from his activity. But not have the stand drop the items, of course. It could have a requirement of 10 Magic levels higher than the Defence level needed to wear the armour piece of highest level. So if you like have Bronze Platelegs and Bandos Chestpiece, you'd need Level 80 Magic to bring it to life.
