I wouldn't mind seeing somthing like the rune pouch but for rings, you can put say 3 rings of your choice in and then equip that.
Even if it meant you had to transfer the power of the ring to the item and that would destroy the old ring but your new ring would keep the effects/stats of the ring you offer.
Thanks for the replies, and Merry Christmas.
The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, Fulton, and the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.
A few notes/issues on some of the rings:
- Ring of Slaying - Added to Slayer Helm to get the effects
- Ferocious Ring - added to Slayer Helm, teleports only (loses Ring of Life effect and bonus dmg)
- Ring of Forging - heavily nerfed with M/S update
- Ring of Life - effect duplicated with Defense Skillcape and Sign of Life
- Ring of Visibility - no longer needed after quest Sliske does "a thing" to you. Requires a number of quests to unlock
I guess the question is what you're trying to accomplish after these:
- Jennica's Ring effect? - probably could go in for auto access to Spirit Realm
- Ring of Charos effects? - permanent persuasion check. though you do get this already with the Karamja achievement set
- Ring of Fire? - permanent 2% boost to firemaking XP
most everything else falls into:
- cosmetic morphing (ie: Ring of Stone)
- teleportation (partially solved with the combiner in invention)
- combat stat boost
- luck enhancer (we have a luck enhancing potion and other items, this also stacks with combat boost)
- niche effect where the ring breaks after certain number of uses, at which point, you end up "charging" the slot to do certain things before it runs out of charges (like how you can have a total number of charges on Slayer Helm with Slayer Ring and Ferocious Rings, but it can be an unbalanced number of cahrges between them)
