Although i do think adding another ring slot would not be gamebreaking, they would need to address how equipping and unequipping works with them. As of right now, there is no item that can be equipped in 2 different slots, and this is probably why they chose to create different items for off-hand weapons during development of the EoC.

And since the Hand of Glory is a thing now, they can't just add a 'ring stand' that would provide a ring effect as a permanent boost.

Off-hand rings confirmed.

I don't think this is game breaking and makes mixing and matching fun.

General thoughts on converting to offhand idea:

Lower levels:

wealth + fremmy rings all the time for combat. Upgrading to Surgeons or Circuit.


High end players would still swap:

Bossing:

1. Ring of Death and Vigor/Luck of the Dwarves

Slayer:

1. Ferocious Ring + Vigor/Luck of the Dwarves
2. Kethsi ring + Vigor/Luck of the Dwarves
3. Surgeons + Vigor/Luck of the Dwarves
4. Ring of Death + Vigor/Luck of the Dwarves

High end bossing, theory. might not be worth the space for Luck:
1. Ring of Death + (DPS)Surgeons/(Ultimate swap)Vigor/(Maybe, Kill Swap) Luck of the Dwarves

I assume the Alchemical Hydrix Ring will be Ring of Death + Luck of the Dwarves similar to the new amulet.
