Truthfully only way I could see a to implement using multiply rings fairly would be make something akin to a glove slot item(with no stats) that holds 2-5 different rings but forfeits ring slot in use and make no stats would be gained from said rings on the ring glove(effects can stay stats would make it to good).
My reasoning is if you want to use multiply rings for effects you should take a negative to mitigate it since some combos would be to broken with the stats.
