((well, the "immortal" part is just being unable to age which means nothing in forum fight. im just as vulnerable as a mortal excluding the rage stuff. im also not sure exactly what said mauldrone does so i might exclude it from the fight until i know a little more about it. i googled it and it appears to be some kind of robotic insect))


*landing in the snow cools me and helps me calm down after the landing as a result and i look like i never used it to begin with. Duncan releases his mauldrone and we start clashing again. i try using different tactics, but with little success. with the fighting at a standstill, Duncan proceeds to use his mauldrone...*

...which attacks Mad Guy from behind to do a pretty low amount of damage. Yeah, it's basically a long range attacker that has pretty low power but is pretty fast, and fairly difficult to block/evade when also being attacked head-on.

~looks like he's not as worn-out as I'd expected.~

The warrior fends off the giant beetle easily, as it returns to the mage. Mad Guy rushes forwards, going for a quick, powerful swipe.

The pyromancer runs forwards, plants the glaive into the ground, which seems to move mechanically as if it were spring-loaded, pushing the mage high into the air and over his opponent, after which he fires his kinsect again, opening a flame portal behind his opponent and pulling the fire towards him, to distract his opponent while attacking him from behind. Unfortunately, the cold temperature and previous use pf fire has weakened him, causing the fire attack to be pretty feeble.

~Damn.~

*Duncan seems to vault over me as seen in his post and i prepare to attack, but feel the heat of a fire right behind me. i get distracted and turn around, only to find a fire portal, but then feel another warmth of fire behind me, this time paining me a little. this is revealed to be from Duncan, who apparently thought to ambush me in plain sight*

"*inside* his pyromancy seems to have worn out. nows my chance to strike"

*i prepare to finish him off while he lands, but his kinsect gets in my eyes, prompting me to punch it away while Duncan lands safely. while Duncan seems to have lost the majority of his fire for the time being, he still manages to defend himself well with light and dueling skills. as we get into yet another clash, i take the time to ask a question*

"you dont seem to be from around here, are you? are there more people like you or are you one of a kind?"
They see me rollin', they better run...

Me: Anyway, I was about to ask, what do you mean? Do you mean my pyroconjuration? where I'm from, loads of people use it, there's the same thing with water, earth, etc., too. That Elven musician you duelled is from the same place. And let's not mention Pyro, who has similar techniques and is from a completely different realm. So, in a sense no, but kind of yes? I have different abilities from the next pyroconjurer , but so does any.

And you have that rage mode, and teleportation, most warriors don't use that yet you share abilities with daemonheim bosses, and wield a sword.

"My choice. I started out learning basic magic, mostly elements, then specialized later on. Also, If I'd learned only magic techniques, I'd have more powerful spells but wouldn't be able to do stuff like this !"

The mage musters up most of what strength he can, rushing forward and whirling the glaive around a blinding speed, clashing repeatedly with his opponent.

After some intense fighting, he gets pushed back, and the armour starts to fade, before falling apart and disappearing. The insect flies back into the paper.

~Damn. I only have enough power left to keep this weapon.~

*slightly fatigued, i see duncans power vanish. i move in and deliver a few wide slashes, ending it off with a thrust kick. Duncan can choose whether he can dodge the attacks or not*

The mage tries to block the attacks while jumping back, but one of the slashes hits hims, dealing a large wound, and then he is kicked in the chest, in the same spot, which, needless to say, does not help. At the same time, all of the flame portals disappear.

While he is flung backwards, he swings the staff behind him, quickly mutters "see you in a few seconds..." as the staff breaks into pieces and forms a disc of swirling light, which he vanishes into, before it closes up.
