First off, the Parahuman Response Team would now classify him not as a civilian, but as an Independent Hero. Just something to keep in mind.
Second, if it took hitting the weakest spot, then that helmet would've needed to be about as strong as the armor on a
tank.
[understatement]That's pretty tough.[/understatement]
Third, I doubt Lac d'Arme's ability to defeat the Destroyer, since I've already decided that stuff like the Fifth True Theoretical Element - which makes up Gun God's Black Barrel - doesn't play nice with Shards.
Also, a disturbing parallel between the Destroyer and Lac d'Arme: Where the former doesn't handle being away from destruction the best, the latter, as a Parahuman, is hard-coded to seek conflict.
---
After realizing that no enemies are approaching, Lac d'Arme scoffs. "Luck? Luck had nothing to do with it! That was pure superhuman skill, so don't forget it! Just to prove it to you, I'll be sure to be the one to defeat you!"
Meanwhile...
"Ohgodohgodohgod why did he say that?!" said a very distressed Dinah Alcott.
"Simple: conflict," Contessa replied. "But don't worry, he
is
part of the Thinker master race."
Dinah paled. "D-don't say that! Skitter might take offense, and then..." she whimpered.
"Oh, don't worry about that, either. She is classified as a Thinker 2, after all, so she's included."
"Ah," Dinah sighed in relief. "Okay then."
---
I always wanted to say something about a Thinker master race.
Also, I know that your passenger made you do it, but you done goofed, Lac d'Arme.
Lord Yatagarasu, the Black Sun.
Thank you for giving me your power.
