The illuminated launched an all out strike on Earth. The Sol defense fleet managed to fend them off but heavy casualties. The flagship, sting of the manticore was destroyed with all hands including Grand Admiral Williams. The Illuminated fleet was totally destroyed. It’s estimated that the war resulted in 10 million lives lost after an illuminated Battlecruiser crashed into the Atlantic ocean. The resulting blast from the fusion core filled the atmosphere with high-intensity, short duration radiation.

After 24 hours, the majority of the radiation had decayed. A large number of civilian space ships were also destroyed in the attack. The illuminated now exist only as a presence on Sahara.

The UTF has now requested that all second system nations claim some Earth Land to help repopulate Earth.

OOG:
Each player is now allowed to claim one small/medium earth land or parts of a larger one. Australia, which is essentially a gigantic city and the capital of the UTF is unclaimable.

OR

You may restart as a nation on Earth now. You may claim two small/medium sized lands or parts of a larger one. If you restart before Monday, you won’t lose any progress.
