Salvatore

Piracy was a common problem for many peoples. Pirates raided most of the seas of the Hellenistic world, and the Barbarians (notably Illyrians), Vikings, Nihonese (the Wako), Barbary Pirates, and Ottoman Corsairs also had a reputation for extensive piracy.

Salvatore would not know what kind of pirates attacked the Hellenistic coast, but they were all really bad, the Barbary Pirates having the worst reputation. In the past, he heard that, although rare, Gothicans sometimes converted to the desert religion to join forces with the Barbary Pirates. The captain wanted Salvatore to watch the cape.

“Will he be going alone, ma'am?” one of the night guards asked.

“I heard the townsfolk say that they heard rumours that lots of pirates were getting ambitious lately. There's some sort of 'pirate king' out there, who amassed a flotilla of pirate ships, with pirates from all parts of the world. The Pirate King often attacks simpler settlements, and seems to always know where they are and what's going on with them.” another guard remarked.

"Regardless, it's the captain's call." another guard said, waiting for what would happen next.

Ancient Drew,
Finish whatever you have planned at the Order's HQ in Astriki, and go to the cape.
Perhaps some night guards may go with Salvatore?
A special character of my creation will eventually join Salvatore's quest sometime at the cape, I just feel it's best to intro whatever character may be until then.

Analee

“You're right, the creatures look shadowy, they are probably weakened by sunlight, let's go!” Auryllac said, and shot a rising Darkbeast in-between the eyes, then the two elves ran farther beyond the world trees, so that they would always be in the most sunlight possible.

When Auryllac ran, he noticed something amiss, and stopped, noticing that one of the Darkbeasts grabbed Analee, putting her in a blood choke, and choked her out. As such, she dropped her bow. Buruk barked and leapt upon the attacker, biting the Darkbeast in the leg, and Bane shrieked, swooping down and clawing at the beast's eyes. This distracted them enough for Auryllac to withdraw his axe in his left hand, running to the girl and hacking at the Darkbeast's back repeatedly, chopping it down and letting Buruk keep him busy.

Once he put his bow away, he carried Analee a short distance out into brighter sunlight, some Darkbeasts vanished into smoke. Several more ran out into the sunlight unaffected by anything. The Darkbeasts were quite fast, so Auryllac put Analee down to fend the Darkbeasts off, Buruk biting at their heels.

A few Darkbeasts charged while the few others ran off to the sides to flank, so Auryllac gripped his axe in both hands. When the first Darkbeast charged, he swung his axe into its arm, cutting its forearm open, then swung his axe sideways, the next Darkbeast skipping backwards, and another clawing Auryllac across the face, spewing out blood. He immediately stepped forth and swung his axe downwards, and cleft his attacker's skull asunder vertically down to the jaw, then preformed a series of feints and push kicks to keep the others at bay, Buruk biting and growling and occasionally being kicked and hit.

Analee dreamt her dream again, and sprang back up to her feet, and commenced sleepwalking. Eyes closed, she ran off, Buruk darting after her. The wolf, for some reason, ran under Analee's legs and she ended up lying over the wolf's back, gripping his fur tightly in her sleep, and Buruk ran, not as fast as normally would, but just enough to outrun the Darkbeasts.

“Good boy! You get going, I'll keep these things busy!” Auryllac shouted as the wolf-rider went off, Bane flying after Buruk. Auryllac spun around and charged the Darkbeasts, fighting them with a mix of hacks, shoulder-bashes and push kicks.

* * *

Analee awoke, lying under a tree. She felt Buruk lying beside her, feeling his his warm belly expand every time he breathed, the canine panting heavily. It was nighttime, and Analee noticed she was... back home?

Under the moonlight and starlight, Analee could see what was left of the village. The village had been destroyed, but she did not see any bodies. The village was not put on fire, but, apparently, the homes were ripped asunder, as if some force broke them. Up ahead, she could see her father's house, which was still intact. Maybe he was still there?

Annie felt her head was spinning from the infomation that she had gathered so far as she listens to the conversations. She felt confused that her kind had captured her and put her in here. She fell down as a massive crash from a boulder hit the cells. She screamed with fear. She heard the Orc said there are opens to get out of here. She repiled in the same way,"We need to work together, not be threating each other. I think we need to find our weapons so we can survive when we get out of here. Do you guys know the location of our weapons are held? I don't know if we should go up or down." -Dances-

Analee awoke to darkness. She could feel Buruk next to her, the rising and falling of his stomach as he let each breath out. Slowly she sat up and looked around. She was alone, Auyrllac no where in sight. Where was he? What happened? Suddenly memories flooded her head. The last thing she remembered was running from the darkbeast and then one grabbing her around the neck...and then nothing. Where was she?

She glanced around at her surroundings only to realize that she was...home? Or what was left of it. The moonlight castes it light in her village. Analee stood up slowly, her eyes scanning her home. Everything was destroyed. "No" she whispered, a dreadful look appearing on her face. She felt her heart ache as she thought of what had happened. "Father" she mumbled as she gazed upward to see her home untouched.

Without realizing it, Analee already started making her way to her home. Buruk quickly followed, staying close. His ears were laid back as he listened, his guard up. Analee had to Step over debre as she walked. There were no bodies. Where were her people? As she reached the swirling stairs that lead to her home, she stopped and looked up. A creaking noise broke the silence in the forest making Buruk let out a low growl. "Shhhs" Analee said softly as she lifted her finger to her lips.

Analee slowly began climbing the stairs, trying her hardest not to make a sound. Could her father be in their home? Was he safe? She had to see for herself. The last thing she recalled was her father being attacked by a darkbeast. As she reached the top, she walked to the door and paused. The door to her home was cracked open. Reaching forward, she slowly pushed it forward. "Father?" She whispered softly as she walked into her home. What was in her home? Did she just walk into a trap? And where was Auyrllac? Was he safe. Question flooded her mind as her heart began to race as the suspense.

Fortress Naamoth

“Hunh? Oh, I'm guessing your confiscated equipment is in the armoury, but maybe not, sometimes they take confiscated things as evidence for court. I know where the armoury is, sort of, we can jump down into the aqueducts and sneak into the armoury.” the Orc replied.

The demonic woman was obviously dead from the impact of the catapulted boulder, so there was nothing else to get from her. The other prisoners in the other cells were trapped behind bars, and there was nothing that could be done from them. The Orc walked to the big crack in the floor and looked down it, but there was nothing.

“Well, I guess the armoury is our best chance. Even if we don't find your confiscated equipment, we can at least might be able to get some weapons. I'll go first.” the Orc said, then he hopped down.

The next level down was the underground, where water ran. The underground aqueduct was not deep, just a foot high of running water. It was very dark down there, but at least the walls were close enough to allow someone to feel their way through.

“Alright, it's clear, come on down, or you can climb upwards, whatever you want.” the Orc called, and then Poca felt the fortress shake as a few more boulders launched against it, more dust and debris falling from the ceiling. Hopefully, this damn place wouldn't collapse anytime soon!

Analee – Wood Elf Village

Many questions raced through Analee's head; it seemed that Auryllac was unable to reach the village. As she went up the stairs, they sometimes creaked, as if complaining that she was gone. The other trees seemed to slant down against her.

Buruk made a little whine as Analee stepped into her father's house. Suddenly, she heard something whiz passed her head, followed by a thud; Buruk started barking. She ducked and looked to the side, seeing a javelin sticking in the wall.

“Who the hell are you?” a voice demanded over Buruk's barking, so the wolf barked louder. It was not her father who spoke, but sounded rather young. She closed her eyes and sensed that... a Dark Elf was inside her house? Talarin. What was he doing in her house? She sensed he was scared but aggressive, confused. Analee should probably yell at him to calm down and reveal who she was before he did something stupid!

Poca smile that the Orc that was going to help her. She heard the orc told her that it would go down first and said it was safe for her. She said,"I am coming." She followed the orc and relized it was wet and very dark. She made a flame in her hand for the orc and herself can see where they are going. Then she said,"My name is Poca. Whats your name? How do you know this place so well?" She felt the building shake again and it made her very scared. -Dances-

As soon as Analee stepped into her house, she felt something fly past her. A thud was heard as she ducked down. A voice broke through, a voice which was not her fathers. She closed her eyes to focus, to try and sense who was her with her. It was a dark elf, a young one. He looked familiar. He looked like a young Auryllac. Talarin?

Analee quickly spoke, trying to calm him down before something happened to them. "Please. I'm Analee, this is my fathers house." She reached over and patted Buruk on the head, informing him that it was ok. "Your Talarin." She added. Analee slowly stood back up and faced him.

"What happened her?" She began, trying to keep her voice calm. "Do you know where my father is?" Deep down Analee wanted to break down but she had to remain strong and alert. The light of the moon broke through the window, casting a small light into the room. Both elves could see one another.
