" Hm... Zaku wrote something down and put it in his pocket.

There were sounds of swears and some more glass breaking from upstairs.

" Im glad im not the person that cleans up the rooms after the guest are gone.. He laughed and looked at the book again.

"Neither do I," kain said and touched the next word in the table of contents it changed to english "perfect..." he muttered it was labeled other strengths

Lore yawned and rolled across the couch the unfurled his body and stretched out trying to take up alot of room... but considering how small he was at the moment two or three people could still sit down.

The noise from upstairs finaly stoped and narzak yelled

GOD D---

" I wonder what its like being a werewolf.. Sounds painfull transforming.. Zaku mutterd as he turned a page.

"it does," kain said and turned to the page tghe table of contents said and he touched the picture and aa blinding witle light shot out "wrong page!" he muttered and turned to the RIGHT page.

Lore went into a light nap, but he was still awake enough to hear the other two.

" Great.. Now my eyes hurt along with eveything else..

Zaku looked anoyed and blinked a few times.

" Hey lore i betcha if sarah comes back she will find a new boyfriend to control.

"sorry bout that." kain said and went up to go to sleep.

Kam sat down and looked over to Zaku. "Metal thing from hell??? What the f--- are you talking about?!"

" Like a crazy robot thing that came out of a portal.. It tryed to kill surmantis but i got in the way so it started to attack me. It was very strong.. My mirror attack drains my energy as much as it does to heal people.

Kam raised her eyebrow at Zaku like he was crazy. "who's Surmatis? What is this place? and what the hell is going on??"

Zaku just smirked for a second.

" Okay... This is a inn...Called the witching hour inn.. Surmantis is my best friend and kinda like a foster father in my opion since hes always there to help me out.. And when my grandmother.. Shes a demon to. Tryed to make me evil like her surmantis ended up fighting her and choping off her hand. Her name is zasori and anyway she sent these eight freaky guys after him to chop off his head. One of the eight is no longer with them.. Hes upstairs at the momment. And another one is dead.

"Well that's and interesting story I'll give you that!" Kam said stretching her legs. "Mine's nothing like that!" she smirked

" Wanna tell me?

Zaku put a book away.

Kam bit her cheek. "Long story short, the town I lived in found out what me and my family were, we're half demons. Well the bombarded our home and killed my family. I'm the only one left now." She said sadly. "That's my story."

" The other races can be that way.. Surmantis isnt though.. Or some of the other people ive met.

"I know." Kam said looking back over to Zaku. "You're a full demon right?"

" Yeah kinda.. Though i wouldnt say i really act like one.. They consider me kinda a joke..

He took out a holy book.

" My body is demon but my soul isnt. I dont think that makes me a half demon though..

"I'm a half demon, just in a different sense." Kam smirked

" Hm.. Well anyway.. Just keep your guard up.. Because theres a VERY powerfull witch staying upstairs to.. And not the friendly type..

"Witch?" Kam asked, her eyes wide "Oh well, forget it, so how did you get here?"

" Well.. i ran away.. And my brother sent a portal after me that threw me in this realm. Then i ran into surmantis.. After that he sent me to other crazy places like the future and.. Islands.. All sorts of stuff.. Just to anoy me or to get me killed i dont know..

He looked tired.

" Anyway.. i finaly managed to defeat him but i still sometimes end up in the most crazy places.. Now my grandmother is angry at me..

Kain streched he was feeling good today he grabbed his axe got dressed and walked down stairs "hey," he said to the people who were talking.

Kam looked up. "Who are you?" She asked, her eyebrow raised

"kain," he said "And you?" he asked and took out his ever present book

Zaku just waved at kain and fliped a page to a book he was reading.

"I'm Kam." She said rubbing her arm. ~Dang! this hurts!~ she thought.

"what happened to you?" he asked noticing her rubbing her arm "did a Imp get you?" he asked

" I can try healing you if you want.

Kam laughed. "No, just a branch." She smiled and took off the cloth. It wasn't bleeding too bad anymore, "And maybe a dagger. It's alright Zaku, thank you though."

Okay," kain said shrugging and pulled out his book and started touching the next words on the table of contents they changed a few times first to imp and then demonic...

Zaku nodded and twisted his hair with a slight bored look.

" I wonder how narzak is doing..

"Who's Narzak?" Kam asked taking her attention away from her arm

Kain finnaly got it to English and read out loud "weapon craft.... hmmmm," he muttered and turned to the page it said

" Norzak was one of those eight people my grandmother sent after surmantis.. He gave up and now hes staying here.. Hes a werewolf.

Kam's eyes widened a little bit and she shuddered. "Sorry I just have a bad experience with werewolfs."

"Werewolf?" kain asked "haven't seen them in a while...." he said his village had been wiped out by werewolves and vampires working together which almost never happened, the vampires thought they wanted to take away the night from them as did the werewolves

Norzaks door creaked open and he went downstairs. He had torn pants and a torn shirt and his black hair seemed a little messed up and he had a drowsy look.

" That... Was.. one of the worst nights ever.. He mutterd and grabed a drink.

Zaku glanced at him but didnt say anything.

Kam looked away from the werewolf. ~Oh s---! Well there's someone I have to avoid!~

Kain just ignored him but when the werewolf wasn't looking he glanced in his direction ~he wasn't in the raid,~ he thought ~thats good.~

Norzak fliped a coin and noticed them looking at him.

" What..?

He took another sip of the drink.

"nothing," kain said ~either he hasn't heard about the raid or he doesn't know any survived.~ he thought and looked down at his book again

" Hmm.. Narzak fliped the coin again.

Zaku looked up from the book. " So why did you help us?

Norzak sighed. " Isnt that my own buisness?

Zaku looked anoyed. " Yeah but i was just wondering..

Norzak put the drink down and turned his chair to him.

" I didnt like her.. She took me away from my family when i was very young and forced me to do all this. Like a caged wild animal. I want to be free to do what i like when i like.. And that time with you was the oley chance i had.

Kain listened surprised ~ No wonder he din't hear about it.~ he thought and listened closer his ears got wider and pinted so he could hear better

Zaku nodded. " One of you said you hadnt failed in 800 years.. I didnt think werewolfs live that long.

Norzak looked anoyed. " As long as i worked for her she keeped my age at 18 Now that i quit ill age normaly again.

Zaku looked curious again. " So why you? There are alot of other werewolfs out there.

Norzak laughed. " True.. But they cant do this..

The coin vanished.

" Or this..

Norzak moved his hand and the drink he put down broke.

Suddenly a sword appeared in his hand and the coin in the other.

Kain just watched he wasn't a normal werewolf that was for sure maybe he had vampire and werewolf parents, rare but it sometimes happened.

Kam raised her eyebrow. ~Definatly not like the werewolves ive ever seen~

Kain kept looking at the werewolf wondering how he could do that a spell or vampire werewolf parent's.

" Im hopeing ill soon have control over the entire.. Transforming thing.. Maby ill even be able to switch whenever i want.. Because its totaly anoying and it hurts!

Norzak sounded omost childish but it might of been from all the wierd drinks he had.

Zaku smirked and fliped another page.

" And that silver rapier surmantis threw at me is anoying to.. My hands wont stop stinging..

Zaku laughed. " Well you did come at him like a crazy animal what did you expect?

Norzak didnt answer he just got another drink.

Kain walked up "all the werewolfs I know can't control the change but sometimes they can," he said and shrugged while looking around ~now let's see if he can remember maybe he wasn't there maybe he was...~

Norzak just had a confused look and gulped down some more of the drink and soon it was empty.

Zaku watched sillently.

Kain just watched his reaction and waited for him to say something.

Norzak sighed then blinked as a question hit him.

" What werewolfs do you know?

"some," kain said "I met quite a few before." he explained though keeping how he had met them to himself

" Hmmmm You seem familyer... How do you transform freely then?

"It's how I was born," he said "I'm no werewolf." he said not saying his race either he was used to avoiding questions like this

" Just thought the others would tell you or something..

He looked anoyed as he fliped a coin.

" Your not saying very much in detail.. You dont trust me do you?

"Let me see.... no." he said "would you trust someone who isn't saying everything either?" he asked

" I dont trust anyone period.. But.. What do you want to know and i might just tell you if i know what your talking about..

Okay I trust no one either but very well I'll cut to the point." he said "Ever heard of a massacre against the race of shifters?" he asked keeping his face straight

" Errr..... Shifters shifters... I think i remeber my mother swearing about them once but a massacere.. No i dont remeber that.

"that's all I wanted to know." kain said and walked off *okay that's good he doesn't know about it... but maybe he lied?~ he thought

Zaku fliped a page and put the book away looking bored and stared at the couch lore had bitten up.

Norzak looked anoyed. " Im going outside..

He went out the door.

" What do you think? Zaku asked kain.

"I'm not sure..." kain said "he SEEMS okay and he didn't massacre my race he was abused not sure about that part but I'm not sure about him," kain said drinking some tea

" Do you got any ideas how to counter the witches spells?

"well I might have one for me but I'm not sure about you." kain said taking another sip "what do you think about the werewolf?"

" If he didnt give me that water i wouldnt of gotten surmantis into the inn and he might of died.. I owe that werewolf a great debt.. And lily to..

"but do you trust him? kain asked persistently "would you let him leave and not worry about it?"

Zaku looked deep in thought for a minute then slowly nodded.

"okay that's good enough for me," kain said and sipped his tea "unless he lied to me and actaully did hear of the massacre or participated,"

" Hes been drinking like that omost the entire time he was here.. He might be scared.. Anyway.. If he does remeber he would probly tell you. Right now hes just kinda outa it it seems.. He was makeing a ton of noise last night..

" Yeah.. That might work..

Meanwhile...

James had a metel wire arond norzaks neck in the forrest nearby. " Now you die you stupid dog.

Norzak bit the wire and stabed james in the chest with a invisible dagger and ran into the inn and into his room slaming the door.

Norzak growled something and went up the stairs and went into his room slaming the door.

Kain turned to zaku "I wonder what happened," he muttered

" Whatever it was it sure did get him upset..

Zaku leaned back in his chair and it fell on the floor along with zaku.

" Owww.. "

Kain laughed "nice one," he said and pulled the chair up "you okay?" he asked

" Im fine.. Just shocking.. Im even more clumsy in those robes i ware.

No noise came from norzaks room.

"Oh okay," kain said and looked up at the ceiling "it sounds like he isn't drunk anymore or there'd be crashing sounds," he said

Norzak came back downstairs looking calm.

Kain turned to zaku "think we should ask him now?" he whispered so the werewolf couldn't hear.

Zaku nodded.

"okay," kain said and stood up and walked to the werewolf "Ever heard of a massacre against the race of shifters?" he asked keeping his face straight.

" Hmmmm Yeah i think so.. But that was awhile ago..

"what do you remember?" kain asked persistently "Did you take part in it?"

" I remeber when i was young some people that came over to my house talking about it.. But the day after that is the day i was taken away.

" Interesting.. Zaku sighed.

Norzak grabed another drink.

"well I think I can trust him now," kain said and bought some more tea

Lore was asleep on the couch in his mini-dragon form... he was snoring slightly.

Norzak drank another glass.

" God this stuff is foul.. Yet relaxing.. Hey what the hell is that? Norzak pointed to the dragon thing on the couch.

Zaku just smirked. " Thats lore..

Lore snorted and scratched his head with one of his paws then resumed snoring.
