...UPDATE!
I just finished rereading Brotherly Love. Um, didn't really notice anything else this time though. Actually, I did, but I forgot what they were.
Found it kind of funny that a cat made Ronny discover the little secret, and then Edward ate a mouse later on. Cats.
What I found even funnier was that I was listening to GWAR's song Sick of You while reading the first few chapters. The song's lyrics didn't fit with the story but oh well, I still read it.
Hm, but I couldn't stop thinking about Medieval Europe, since Saradominism seems to reflect Christianity (sort of, I guess).
Well, did you know that some bishops ran brothels? Some monks would attend brothels on a daily basis, so the church was corrupt since day one really.
Also, one way for man-lovers to be themselves was to become monks.
In a way, princes were not really lovable things. There are numerous stories about brotherly love amongst princes during their childhood, but once they find out that there's competition to the throne, they often plotted to remove each other.
For example, if the eldest son somehow 'went away and never came back,' then the younger princes would quarrel over one another to get the throne for themselves. Once that happened, the triumphant prince would often banish, or even murder, his rival princes.
If a king was hated, his own nobles would be threats. A few English kings were killed by their own barons. I think it was Richard II who was murdered due to him removing the war against France, which infuriated his nobles so much that they plotted for ten years straight to kill their king.
Why did it take them ten years? Because Richard was too merciful to them, thus let them kill him basically.
So that's what makes the story remarkable because it breaks so many rules when comparing it to Medieval Europe, even though I shouldn’t do that, but that's my annoying habit.
