Aranel looked to Annie.
"I have never been Annie. I don't really know if they will help or not. I know they use Runes for magic while we have it naturally. All we can do is ask. If not, I will do my best to help you."

As they were walking away from the group, Aranel heard Two-Two decide to return to Falador as well as Aureus. Aureus tried to give her money but she gently refused.
"I have plenty of wealth. I don't need yours. Thanks though."

Aranel walked with Annie away from the departing group. She felt immense worry and gnawed on her lip beneath her facemask.
"We need to hurry. I don't like this."

**

The group of dwarves hurried along after Joric and the people they found. The dwarf who stepped forward to ask for help was amazed at how quickly everyone from this group just offered their services. Their armour clanked as they ran, returning to Falador to prepare for an attack., whether that be by the black knights or if they march on the captured outpost.

Annie said trying to stay calm,
"oh ok. I hope they can help me but if they can't, I bet you will be a great teacher. Thank you for helping me. I was wondering can you teach me about the elven culture?"
She nodded at Aranel comment and started to walk faster.

Garrett's alternative plan was accepted reluctantly by Aranel, the elf going so far as to step up and hug the sailor - catching him by surprise, albeit he was able to pat her back before she pulled away again. He nodded at her and Annie.

" You two keep safe, we'll see who catches up ta' who first! " He said, reassuring them with another grin before Aranel took Annie by the hand and led her towards Port Sarim. Two-Two and Aureus chose to return to Falador as well, the sailor letting them move ahead of him before he started to move himself - taking the short moment where he was stood in place, alone, to let his expression shift and a sigh to release.

Just what in the hell was he doing? Going back to the city he'd just fled from? This didn't feel like him, yet here he was, doing exactly that for the sake of a woman he'd only just met and some kid who asked a lot of questions.

Was it some form of penance?

He shook his head, turning to hurry after the others back towards Falador. Catching up with the dwarves, even Joric, wasn't difficult given their shorter legs and heavier carrying weights. He chose not to overtake them, instead keeping their pace - there'd be no point in getting there sooner than the rest of them, and being tired out from sprinting would help nobody.

" Those adventures you want'll have ta' wait a little, golden boy! " He called over to Aureus, letting out a chuckle.

Aranel walked with Annie towards Port Sarim. She could smell the sea strongly now and saw a sign post displaying the nearby cities. She walked up to it and studied it. She vaguely remembered someone mentioning going through a village called Draynor.
"I think its this way.
" Aranel pointed south and saw a very dreary looking forest ahead.
" Well that's inviting."

She shook her head and looked down at Annie.
"I guess through the wicked woods we go."
Her voice was light and friendly, making it obvious she was joking. She kept her hand in Annie's and began walking past the Port. She looked at it longingly, only getting glimpses of the ocean. They just continued walking, eventually coming on a sign that announced the City of Draynor. It was very dark and gloomy.
"Why would anyone live here?"

Aranel walked underneath the sign and a crow landed on the fence next to her and cawed at her loudly. She barely spared it a glance, determined to get through this city.
"I think its just up ahead. We can't be far now."

Aranel did not know how to answer Annie's question.
"Our culture is hard to explain to someone who has not grown up in it. We have a group of 8 main families in the capital. Each one has their own talents. Cadarn has a history of royalty, with the last King hailing from that clan. They are held in very high regard."
She was quiet for a minute.
"Our god is that of Seren. She is a crystalline God, which is where most of our technology comes from."
Aranel gestured to her back at her bow.

The dwarves kept pace with Joric and the group. One of them, the one who stepped forward earlier, fell back and walked next to Garrett.
"You decided to come with us? Who is protecting the young child and the woman?"
There isn't one.

Annie laughed at Aranel joke as she held her hand. She said in the laughing voice as they walked,
” Then lets go!!!!”
She was enjoying the travel with Aranel. She was grateful that they were close to the wizard Tower.

Then she listen to Aranel talking about the elven culture. She was surprised there was a lot about the culture. She said,
”Thats really interesting. Is the king or queen voted in or born to it?”

Garrett glanced down at the dwarf who fell back to speak with him, quirking an eyebrow at his question.

" That'd be the woman, " He replied with an incredulous shake of his head. " What, dwarven ladies no good at keepin' themselves safe? Quit bein' thick as an anchor, mate! "

(( Sorry - I know I complained a little but since it just affects Annie's and My Character im gonna timejump a little lol))

Aranel looked at Annie as she asked another question.
"Seren anointed Baxtorian."
They finally got through Draynor Village and they could see the looming Wizards Tower. Before they could reach the tower they would have to go across a long and elaborate bridge.
"Well. This is it, lets go."
Aranel began crossing the Bridge.

*****

The dwarf stammered against Garrett's Comment.
"The women never leave Keldagrim! The men do everything. We do the mining, the smithing, the fighting... Everything!"
He muttered softly something about Humans and being dependent on women sometimes and wandered away from Garrett, moving back up to joining his group

Annie listen to Aranel answer to as they kept walking tower the wizard tower. Then they can see the tower. She said with shock,
"wow it's so big!"
She followed Aranel on the bridge. She was excited to get there to learn.

After Aranel hugged Garrett, Aureus was next to join. Indeed, the adventure was cut short, but home is home.

Two-two turned her head as she walked, “Bye-bye, guys!” At that, Aranel and Annie headed to the Wizard’s Tower, whilst everyone else went towards Falador and regrouped with the dwarves. Seemed that Joric would get even with the conman some other time, maybe.

“Ha ha! Yeah! But this is also a big adventure!” Two-two remarked at Garrett’s comment, “Father used to walk all across Gielinor, change his mind, and go all the way back! Took forever, but there’s always something to find.”

“Oh, the kid’s in good hands with Aranel,” Two-two remarked to the dwarf who spoke to Garrett. “Do dwarven women not do much, then? Well, glad I have these long human legs! Hee!” Two-two stuck out and extended her leg, then almost tripped on a hole.

Aranel stopped halfway on the bridge and went to the edge looking over it. She stared in wonder at the sea and leaned on the edge of the bridge.
"Wow."
Aranel stood for a few minutes just looking at the water and marveled at how it seemed to just keep going. She stepped back and continued walking across the bridge. They were about halfway cross by now.

***** Back in Falador *****

Sir Amik had dismissed Gareth and waited for him to leave before standing himself. He stood after Gareth's departure and looked around his empty court. People fled after the attack, going to their homes, some even left Falador all together. He shook his head and stepped off the dias. He walked onto the ramparts and watched as the dwarves were finishing getting the gate ready for defense. They had the gate repaired and only needed to re-attach it. They used the little ore they had stored in the Mining Guild to fortify the gate, making it stronger.
I guess we should have used it for Armour instead.

The Knights were depleted, not many remaining and there wasn't enough people left in the city who could fight to recruit to the knights. Not like they would be trained in time if the Black Knights decided to attack.
I wish I would have kept those girls here. I would make them fight for me.
Sir Amik could see Gareth walking away from the castle and kept his eye on him for as long as he could.
