Annie,
You mention twice werewolves shooting arrows, though they don't have archers, I described the werewolves on the walls as spear-throwers who also have stones to throw. You can just delete the mentions of arrows.

You mention "hail balls" which I think are chunks of ice, which kill a few werewolves, though you don't specify how they die. A few balls of ice would not kill an adult human, even if hit in the head (unless they were fist-sized).
Note that the story features a form of realism, and I describe the werewolves during the fighting as being impaled by spears, yet they writhe up the shafts and continue fighting anyways, which was done historically. Even human beings were recorded to get skewered by swords, spears, bayonets or lances, and still keep on fighting, even if they had weapon tips rammed into their bodies.

For example:
R*v. Caesar Caine & Pvt. Thomas Malcolm, Barracks and Battlefields in India, 1891,
“The enemy (Sikh swordsmen) received us (the 10th foot) sword in hand (at Mooltan, 1848), and fought like wild men, actually fighting with their swords when our men’s bayonets were in their bodies.”

Thus, having fur and able to dodge, the werewolves would be able to avoid projectiles even ones that are magically imbued. It would make sense if instead of "killed" they were "knocked out" if they could not dodge. Try to note that enemies, like Annie, can also dodge, move, think and react, just like people and animals.

Anyways, I'm done for tonight, see ya'll tomorrow.

-An academy type thread about people with powers. Wandering Heroes, I think it was called. I wasn't in it for very long.

I remember planning that, Fish. :P

Le' me: "THERE ARE TOO MANY THREADS WITH SUPERPOWAHS! NOBODY IS JOINING ANYMORE! WHAT DO WE DO!?!"

Other GM's: "..."

Le' me: "Well, highschool threads seem popular right now. Lets start over and do that!"

Come to think about it, it was a bad plan from the start. :P At least back then I had the galls to stick to a bad plan until the end. Though in hindsight, the community back then was sizeable enough to pioneer even the most obscure of threads, but that's another matter entirely.

Zaphiran

Zaphiran rode Niles at a gallop, all the meanwhile giving a cursory scan of his surroundings. Most of the castle was impregnable to intruders. However, Zaphiran spotted a low wall. He guessed that the werewolves used it as a means of entrance to and from the castle in between hunts. Zaphiran stopped his horse and further scanned the area. His eyes caught a most grisly sight-- Bodies strewed everywhere on the castle grounds with javelins and short spears resting in the chests of humans and dwarves, with blood spilling out of their wounds, some were still moving. some of the living casualties were surrounded by werewolves, who tore arms and legs from their bodies and gnawed on the torn limbs as if they were bones. The screams of the wounded reverberated throughout the countryside. Large rocks were scattered and blood had been spilt all over the limestone floor of the castle courtyard. And skeletons were present, indicating that this may have been going on for quite some time.

Such a sight horrified Zaphiran. The feasting on the body parts of the living took Zaphiran aghast. He turned his attention to the windows, the battlements, the roof of the hold, and he saw what he did not want to see: Werewolves occasionally looked outside the windows, the battlements were patrolled by at least 20 werewolves, each wielding spears, or rocks, some carried both. Hiding in this death trap would be very difficult, given the werewolves' incredible sense of smell, which likely rendered his invisibility trick useless, he'd have to either rely on old fashioned stealth, or he'd have to find some way of masking the scent. Suddenly the an*er to Zaphiran's woes came to him: He'd wear the hide of a werewolf. This would mask his scent enough that the weres would think him one of them, until they caught sight of him.
Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

Annie,
You mention Annie shot arrows and killed some werewolves, though a bow wielded by a child would have low draw weight and would not kill anyone. The werewolves are larger, stronger, and covered with fur, their bodies would naturally absorb some impact of all damage. Historically, most projectiles would not kill quickly, even if they hit their target. Note that arrows are easy to dodge, you just lean to the side, I have done this to dodge Cold Steel's boar spear thrown at me at close range. Arrows move, on average, about 65 kilometres/40 mph per hour.

Note:

Myles the Slasher, The Irish-American Almanac, 1876, about a 17th century Irish cavalier,
“At length he fell (defending a bridge against twenty Scotchmen), covered with a hundred wounds. Tradition adds that shortly before his death he had encountered a Scotch officer of gigantic frame and strength, who laid open the Slasher’s cheek with the stroke of his sword, but that the Slasher held the sword blade between his teeth, as firmly as if held by a blacksmith’s vise, until he cut down the Scotchman with his own sword.*

Bennet Burleigh, quote from Desert Warfare, 1884,
*The gaping wounds made by our almost explosive Martini-Henry bullets (explosive cartridges designed to be “man-stopping” bullets) scarcely checked the savages (charging Arabs or Sudanese in this case) in their wild career. It was only when the lead shattered the bone or a leg, or pierced the heart or brain, that their mad onrush was instantly stopped. I saw Arab after Arab, through whose bodies our bullets had ploughed their way through, charging down on the square, with the blood spouting in pulsating streams from them at every heart throb. Down they bore on us, some with two or three bullet wounds, but still pressing onwards to throw themselves upon our bayonets.”
